He wanted to leave mate? Lol Unless you wanted hudders to keep him in captivity (as i know you boys want to do with pochy )
Fair enough...thought it was the usual by mutual consent...I hated the way we treated Jol, but nowadays it's way worse. LVG sacked the night he won the cup...Ranieri sacked just months after winning the title, Chelsea's sacking of Dimatteo just 4 months (excuse spelling) after winning the FA Cup and the CL, City's treatment of their previous manager. These are just a few examples...thought he had been sacked which would be outrageous imho.
Wagner had as good a chairman as he could hope for in Dean Hoyle. I don't think he wanted Wagner to leave.
The Huddersfield Town owner said that he was going to leave at the end of the season anyway because he needed a break from management, but I think as their fortunes weren't improving, he was losing his appetite to continue more and more. And the players can tell when their manager doesn't have his heart in it any longer. I think they made the right decision given the circumstances, but he's done a fabulous job for them. Got them back in the top flight of English football after 50+ years when they were huge underdogs from the get-go, then managed to keep them up in the Prem against all odds, got some excellent results along the way against Man United, as well as getting valuable draws at The Etihad and Stamford Bridge to secure their survival. They had no right to even get as far as they did, but he performed admirably to even get to this point. Will go down as a club legend for sure. Rightly so, too.
The hope has got to be that the club gets something real and meaningful out of their time in the PL and not the commitments and debt that most relegated clubs bring with them. They've got a great stadium, if they have kept some money back, maybe they can get back again soon? If history repeats itself from their 1st Div relegation in '72, they'll be in League 2 in three years' time.
Probably the right time. Been a great keeper but clearly past his best. Although he’s played for Chelsea and Arsenal, he seems a decent guy and did well to come back from a horrible head injury.
He helped Ryan Mason when he had his injury, definitely a decent bloke, sh!the choice of employers though.
