My mistake, it was Koeman who played a weakened side at Bramall Lane when we had a good chance of getting to the semifinals of the League Cup.
Better take my Ron tinted glasses off for this then. Koeman you twat, that was a massive opportunity cocked up!
That is almost the point, it is easy to wear Ron or Poch tinted glasses because they were (for the most part) inspirational, Puel had some qualities, but he lacked a lot of the traits people want to see in a leader.
That was it! Thanks TLL, I knew there was something! Edit: to be fair it wasn’t really a weakened side: Kelvin Davis Nathaniel Clyne Jos Hooiveld Luke Shaw Maya Yoshida Steven Davis Victor Wanyama James Ward-Prowse Adam Lallana Rickie Lambert Guly Do Prado
Ron is my other Ranieri. Despite getting us to sixth, I never thought he was all *that* good. Poch and Ralph are a class above imho.
Way too early to call Ralph that ffs... Delivered best league finish in 30 years and delivered back to back European qualification. Won 3 of his first 7 games. Yeah you're right it's no contest...
The media has far too much influence on most aspects of our lives in my view. It doesn’t matter whether it’s the news or other ‘informed content’ programmes, the producer/director/presenter, each of these people or a combination of any two or more have an agenda, and they have a disturbing level of control over many issues facing us. Newspapers included! As for CP I have some sympathy for him, Linekar doesn’t like him and will do what it takes to make the situation for CP worse than it needs to be.
I do remember we were chasing an equaliser, and he bought off Adam Lallana for ****ing Sam McQueen. As much as I like McQueen, what a stupid decision that was.
