Too many draws especially at home, not seeing teams off when we are ahead.
Our Promotion teams I have watched battered teams at home......we aren't... we're dull.
Where do you think we need to improve ?

Yes we need to win more games but we are only 1 point off an automatic promotion spot and have a game in hand. I would have taken that at the start of the season. We have also scored in our last 34 games now, we need to keep more clean sheets if anything. We've been without Cattermole and Honeyman in the midfield and have had both of our first choice full backs out during that time too which hasn't helped.

We've got a good run of games against teams currently in the lower half of the league now and that should improve our points and goals score totals.
Scunthorpe (A) 15th in league
Wimbledon (H) 24th in league
Oxford (A) 21st in league
Blackpool (H) 9th in League
Accrington (H) 14th in league
Gillingham (H) 17th in League
Bristol (A) 20th in league
Plymouth (H) 23rd in league
Wycombe (A) 13th in league

I'm not at all bothered about battering teams - as long as we win. The biggest danger is the squad getting complacent and just expecting to turn up and win. They still need to put in the hard work and earn it.

I like your confidence, I just don't see any improvement and the likes of Barnsley, who looked good at our place, are closing in, we need to kick on not stand still , if we do , say a wide man and striker we should get over the line.

We've drawn more home games than any other team in our league ,we need to step up, thats not me being negative, if we sort it we'll go up.
If pointing out 6 draws out of 13 games at home is being negative..........your opinion , fair enough.

Well said Tees, Luton have had the same team for nearly two seasons our team have been together since August and as you say four of our first names on the team sheet were missing.
I've said elsewhere on here that this league is harder than a lot of our fans think, yes getting a second goal could kill off most game But these lads never give up.
We've had setbacks with red cards and injuries but Jack Ross has been positive in everything he's done we just need to hold our nerve and of course a good January in the transfer market will be a big help.

We've also lost fewer games than anyone else in our division and we've arguably not hit our peak yet. It's not like we're falling off the pace.

Improving the squad would be desirable to see us over the line but I don't think there is any one area that is letting us down currently.

I'm a little bit worried about the home draws and lack of clean sheets, and I think this may come to haunt us in a playoff, but I fully expect us to be promoted automatically, due to our consistency. As far as improvement goes, I'd like to see Kimpioka get a start in one of those mid-week games to see how that affects the side. Other than a central defender on loan, or a replacement for Maja if needs be, I hope we dont buy players for the promotion push that won't help us in the Championship.

Now we have cover at center half , a reliable striker to either replace or support Maja, is priority, we should be strong enough in mid-field with the players at hand, as long as we get the balance right. All in all I think we are doing well, the competitiveness of this League is more than I expected, but its a long haul, and we are as well equipped as any for the journey. Onwards and upwards.

If we get Will Grigg as our number 1 striker we'll be fine.

An attacking centre mid to play in front of Power and AN Other will be perfect for me.

we could have 3 games in hand on Luton if they go out of the f a cup tomorrow by the 29th Jan, they have 19th Jan Peterboro H (tough game) 26th Jan Southend A, 29th Pompey H (another tough game) so played 30 matches by then and most likely 5 points from them to 58 points we should beat Scunthorpe and Wimbledon to get to 58 points.

We are on track

Struggled to fathom that first with the dates then realised it's our promotion seasons. They should have done it for automatic promotion from this league over the last 5 seasons. That would have been interesting. But based on our season some going back 20 years doesn't really tell us anything.

How much do we miss Honeyman btw, been a shell of the team since he got injured, glad we've kept in the mix but performances have suffered since George got injured. Can't wait to have him back putting himself about, covering ground and forcing the opposition to work harder. The midfield battle has been a cake walk for teams without him.
