Because they pay them twice as much? It's why Arsenal can't get rid of half of the **** players that they'd like to ship out.

Pretty sure the stadium build wouldn't affect FFP in any way, any new build or renovation falls outside the FFP remit as it is a one off cost to and a fixed asset of the club.

And I predict we don’t win any of them.

Cos we can not pay stupid money like Arsenal, United, City, Liverpool and Chelsea can and do. That's not a dig at them but a simple reality.
They are richer than us by far.
Over paying causes problems... Arsenal are losing Ramsey cos he wants parity or near parity with Ozil who is on stupid money.

We can’t afford anyone who is better than we already have.

Ok...so we won't pay the big bucks...I get that...I'm still not convinced we can't buy players good enough to bolster us.

No way do i believe that...our scouts need firing

Just one of those days. Other than a 10-15min period near the beginning, we controlled the game and looked dangerous. It was pretty much like the Everton game in that a goal came against the run of play but we carried on opening them up. 6-2 wouldn't have flattered us much today either. De Gea made some inspired saves and we could have finished better but there we are.

I don't like the diamond we played with again today in the first half and felt like we looked a lot better when Kane was up top and the 3 rotated in behind.

Hope Kane's okay after that fat spaz barrelled into him. Sissoko's probably gonna miss a few weeks though, good opportunity for Skipp, I guess.

    We won't win the CL.
We may come in the top 4 but won't win the title.
The league cup and FA Cup are 50/50...
That's the beauty of football...and of being a spur...anything can and does happen

We can, but we need to get rid of some people first and sort out the balance of homegrown players.
We also have to bring in players with the right attitude and personality. Unsettling the dressing room could be disastrous.

We've spent £27m net in the last decade. Why you would presume that is genuinely surprising to me.

Spurs finances are a weird and wonderful thing but believing that we'd go on a splurge, when owing that much money, is just not logical. We have some money put aside but being unable to shift Dembele, Wanyama, Rose, Llorente, GKN, etc. meant it wasn't enough to buy the players MP wanted. The club decided to wait to try to improve the quality this summer.

Will it work? No idea, but unless we re-jig our finances, we will be reliant on selling someone to give us money to spend, as in every other summer for years now.

If Joe Lewis funds it. However, if we have to pay for it out of revenue, then we just have less to spend, FFP or no FFP.

We're in the middle of the biggest gamble any football club has probably ever taken. When we finalise sponsorship, get some income out of it,get the NFL franchise, etc., etc. it will be an enormous boost. However,if you've ever built your own house, you'll know that the building phase is just signing cheques and living on beans on toast, especially if you're renting another house.

We need winners in the dressing room. We need someone willing to do time because he shot Trippier in the head. We need someone in the dressing room to tell Alli he's not playing 5 a side with his mates..I feel as though our club is becoming a nursery for this bunch.

Definitely agree. Trippier's been building up to that for a while and Dele's little flicks are doing my crust in.

The bloke who took us from having bloke in a Coat as manager to where we are today?

The bloke who took us from 1 season in Europe from the decade before he took over to 13 out of the last 14?

    The bloke who took us from a high of 8th place amidst a decade of lower mid table finishes with 2 relegation fights to 5th, 5th, 10th, 8th, 4th, 5th, 4th, 5th, 6th, 5th, 3rd, 2nd, 3rd in the past 13 years?

The bloke that has got us on the verge of moving to a fantastic new stadium?

The bloke who got us Bale, Modric, VDV, Lennon, Robbo, Keane, Defoe, Davids, Berbatov, Dele, Eriksen, Son, Alderweireld, Carrick, Vertonghen, Sanchez, Lloris, Dembele, etc....(prior to that in the previous 10 years we had Sheringham, klinsman, Ginola and that's pretty much it) ?

We are THE most improved team bar City and we have not been taken over in the same way.

Yes, Levy made mistakes...I would argue bringing in Hoddle was one, as was Santini but he improved by trusting Arnesen to appoint Jol.
He was awful when he treated Jol so badly and screwed up with Ramos. Appointing AVB was poor too.

In my opinion only AVB and the appalling treatment of Jol were easy to spot bad decisions without hindsight and should never have happened.

On the positive side he turned us into a club that was not easy to push around which is really important.

All in all he has been a massive part of building our club to this point...football has a short memory imo... pre Levy and Enic Spurs were relegation bound...we were awful most seasons and could only dream about having the past 10-12 years or so.
    Just my opinion of course.

Just watched the video of Kane post-game again. He’s ****ed. Holding his groin just like Sissoko while shaking his head, he knows it’s a bad one. I think that’s at least a couple weeks out for both and what perfect timing as well, what with Son going to Asia.

MP saying ankle right ligaments....(again). That's more than a couple of weeks and continual damage isn't going to do his long-term fitness any favours.

FFS, a disaster of a day!
