nope i quoted the bit where you implied it went to the various national parliaments. Now i feel obliged to point out we have to try & work out what you are saying since you never check your posts .
the deal tjat is now in front of parliament was agreed by eu first then sent to UK parliament for debate. it is in fact the binding agreement and treat between eu and UK. if parliament ratify it then the process moves to eu where 27 countries then must agree (20 there of as written into eu law when article 50 was created) yeah right i need to read more carefully
And where did I say the 27 countries parliaments...... apology accepted. there needs to be a qualified majority of 20 of 27. that's eu council
He actually said it goes to the 27 Individual Parlaiments to ratify the final trade deal - it doesn’t. https://www.not606.com/threads/just-to-explain-brexit-to-everyone.369464/page-11#post-12465534
no i didn't. I said it goes to the countries. I never said parliaments. They all vote in the council and 20 must agree representing 65% of population. this is designed to prevent one small country blocking it like say oh i dunno belgium due to some think like what blocked the canada trade deal for years. its also designed to mean france and german can block it in effect if they say no and the rest all say yes. apology accepted
I was replying to your post, and I started it with HE ACTUALLY SAID. I then posted a link to HIS post. I’m sure your apology will be forthcoming.
EU publishes 'clarifications' over deal That letter from EU Commission president Jean-Claude Juncker and president of the European Council Donald Tusk has been published. Supposedly providing assurances and "clarifications" over the PM's deal, it appears not much has changed. Mr Juncker and Mr Tusk reiterate the EU is "not in a position to agree to anything that changes or is inconsistent with the withdrawal agreement". However, their letter does stress the EU's commitment to reaching a trade deal that is in place by 31 December 2020 "so that the backstop will not need to be triggered".
She will lose the vote. There will be an extension. No deal will not be allowed to happen. There will be a referendum. This is my prediction.
1. yes, 2. only logical outcome 3. you'd think 4. not so sure. the world corbyn lives in seems nice and happy doesn't it. He's really smug about his no confidence card. The reality is he really doesn't want a new referendum. He is hoping to trigger his no confidence vote asap tomorrow and then he doesn't care if he wins or loses. A win for him = general election and extension will have to be granted by EU. He thinks he can win by landslide.. i'm not so sure but the anger in the country at this must be quite high. A loss for him and he's delighted. he's already signalled he doesn't have the votes to win so he's got his excuses in early. I nthe scenario where theres a general election, no matter who ends up PM.... I'm sure of one thing. the EU will tell that person there is an agreement and that it. They've already backed may into job loss and political chaos. Why would they concede anything form here to a new pm? Right now the EU have already risked a no deal by keeping (not pushing) may into the corner she's made for herself. they seem quite happy to let this all play out and the utter chaos that's ensued tells them that they were right to do so. I simply cannot see them budge. That referendum may well end up a no deal hard brexit v remain.... and thats why i cannot see it. I dunno... what could a large labour majority deliver thats any different to may's deal? IMO just a commons vote
so: corbyn will do what? right after tomorrows vote go no confidence? OR wait till the 3 days are up and plan z is brought back to parliament? OR will may gazump the lot and move to have election right after first vote.... nobody has that option anywhere.
