Oh! I used to live in Peckham - Whorlton Road, classed as the Dulwich end I felt safe in Peckham Rye but not so much Peckham itself. This was the early 90's so I don't know what it's like now...
Yea think i know it, that’s the nicer side! I’m further north than you were ,30 secs walk from Queens road station.
As South becomes more gentrified it will slowly move people out and only those who can afford to will be able to live there. I’ve come in and pay 800 PCM to rent so I’m just the start in deptford.
Anybody having weird issues with their power in/around sholing tonight? Mines flickered 4 or 5 times in the last hour or so causing my pc to turn off.
Yes, it’s the thousands of Saints fans turning their PCs, TVs, radios and devices on and off, draining the network, all in an attempt to check, double check and triple check that Saints won today, having been down to 10 men for a whole half and then defending a lead despite conceding one goal and. Not capitulating! Fecking get in!!
There are 10 kinds of people in the world. People who understand binary mathematics and those who don't. Vin
I’ve never even heard of binary mathematics , let alone understand it. Or is that the joke? I need a lie down.
I got drunk and drew up a graph showing all of the relationships I've ever had. It had an ex axis, and a why axis.
A slice of Apple Pie is £2.50 in Jamaica, £2.75 in Aruba and £3.00 in the Bahamas. Those are the the pie rates of the Caribbean
I have always been an ardent supporter of the NHS, and since my wife started her battle against cancer, my respect and admiration has just grown and grown, especially in the current climate of under funding. Her oncologist has been absolutely brilliant, making so many right calls, giving her an extra three years of life, so far, compared to the original prognosis of 6-12 months. My wife and I have pretty much bestowed God like status on him, but have just discovered that he is actually human and capable of making errors. My wife needed to have a PET scan, to decide if her cancer had returned and spread, and the Friday just gone was her appointment for receiving the results. We duly arrived for her appointment, fully expecting the usual type of consultation, only to be taken into a nurses office, whereupon my wife was asked to sign a Chemotherapy treatment consent form. I intervened and basically said “Don’t you think my wife should be given the result of her PET scan, before you ask her to sign the consent form? We haven’t yet been told that the cancer has returned, but I suppose that we can now presume that it has.” Cue an awkward moment whilst one of the nurses present scampered off to see if the consultant was free from another appointment to confirm the diagnosis. He could only spare a few minutes before leaving, so we are requesting that the next appointment will be with him so that we can have the full picture explained. Bottom line is that yes it has returned to the original site, moved to the bone in one shoulder and “may” have moved to other areas that he did not embellish on. Chemo starts, for the third time, Monday 14th Jan.
So sorry to hear this, St B. It’s an utter bastard, the “big C” and these guys do an amazing job of fighting it and giving people some extra time. My sister’s oncologist was brilliant and just as devastated as all of us when it refused to go away. Keep fighting - it must be SO hard for both of you. Thinking of you, mate.
So sorry to hear this Badge, and that’s an awful way to find out as well. Thoughts and prayers with you and your wife.
