Oh dear!!! I wonder how much of an impact losing Thompson has had on the mentality of the team. We shall see next week.
Shocking game. Blackpool came for a draw, and luckily left with all 3 points. Game was flat, neither side deserved to win. We sadly missed both Oli Hawkins in attack and the departed Ben Thompson in central midfield. Gareth Evans was lost in his new position in the engine room, and as said earlier, Andre Green is not a number ten ! We move on to the next match. At least both Luton and Sunderland dropped two points each, and both teams had a player red carded, which means a 3 match ban.
Still any two from 7 looking at the points spread. We need 35 points to go up. That is something like 1.65 per game. IN layman's terms, 11 wins and two draws. I ahve always said it will require less than 90 the way things are going.
