    He has to go ffs

3 holding midfielders home to a team in the bottom 3?

Southampton was poor today. Our tactically inept manager cost us yet again

If we can’t afford signings how will we pay a manager off? I’ll put this question to you now, if you sack Puel now who do you bring in?

Taking emotion out of it, in terms of the ‘blame game’ I’m not sure how Puel can be responsible for two individual huge errors in moments of absolute madness

I think we can afford to sack him. Use the Iborra money if we have to

Talk with Pearson coming in until the end of the season. There is much better managers out there then Puel

My number 1 target in the summer would be Eddie Howe. Until then anyone but Puel. Too defensive, clueless and boring

Not being funny but Pearson would take us no further forward imo and the likes of Choudhury/Barnes probably wouldn’t play much.
No way would Howe come to us. We’d be fishing in the Fat Sam/Pardew pool

Summer, maybe. Now? Not a chance.

No danger of relegation so I can’t see a single benefit of sacking him.

Play youth till summer and then re-assess

Honestly, we are better off playing all youth and finishing 16th than everyone else and finishing 10th

That’s the thing, I don’t get the hype to sack Puel, it’s like people are jumping on the bandwagon as it’s popular to do so. What’s the worst that happens under Puel right now. We bob around in mid table this season gaining some much needed stability and blooding younsters, something we needed after successive managers intent on relegating us.
Sacking Puel now would be far more damaging than anything else to the club right now in terms of reputational, financial damage as well as likely having someone come in and bin the youngsters off.
In terms of Howe, 100% would not come here now or in the summer. Bournemouth is his club, he’ll only leave for a big job.

Sack Puel, sack Puel, sack Puel.........change the f***ing record!!!

If Iheancho played like Vardy they would be moaning like ****! Vardy needs to stop wandering back only to be caught offside. Fans moaning again about Puel failing in his substitutions! All positive ones IMO.

It's about time the players took some responsibility!

If you love a manager who plays 3 defensive midfielders at home to a club in the bottom 3 and loses to 10 men feel free

Puel is sucking the life out the team and the atmosphere is going to same way. Were are too defensive and rigid. Thanks to Puel

He has to go. Simple as

    Geoff Peters on Puel

I want him to succeed because if he does it means the team succeeds and that's what us fans want. He's just too stubborn. If he's not aware how much the players dislike him and his methods then he's an idiot. The things we've been told privately are, sadly, quite staggering.

I take some solace that even though we lost there were three academy graduates on the park in the second half. We must have half the England under 23s/21s playing. This may go someway to explaining how we cant yet break down defensive teams as there is a lack of experience in the side.

Exactly, he doesn’t tell the players to go out there and not give a ****. He was furious on the side line last week at Newport. Everyone was crying out for 433 after he reverted back to 4231 for Cardiff so he did it. The only thing I think he could do with team selection for this system barring transfers is to put Maddison in the middle 3 to get his haters off his back about 3 defensive midfielders but that would have left us light for the front 3. Now Barnes is back we could see this.

I would be very surprised if he was sacked now, end of season? maybe!

Interested to know, if he did go now, who would you want as a replacement?

I already asked that, the answer was Howe who would not come here. Having said that a similar thread on Foxestalk asking that question has had genuine suggestions of Peter Taylor and Thomas Tuchel!!!

How people think he is the answer to not playing negative football is beyond me! If Top did get rid of Puel (he won’t) I would support it if the right person came in. Mid season it’ll be a mersenary off the scrap heap. We’d probably need to target a young up and comer from Germany if we did make the change. Or Jardim but he’s probably got bigger ambitions as well. We are not as attractive as many seem to think we are

Appoint someone until the end of the season. Pearson, ex player, MON, me, you.

Someone will want the job. This cloud and negative vibe, atmosphere installed by Puel needs lifting ASAP. He is sucking the life out of everything. Its got to a point where alot of people I know cant even bothered to go as its negative boring football. Nothing for people to get behind. And before anyone says there arent true fans. They have been season ticket holders for 10-20 years

And then in the summer make a proper appointment.

Either way this arguement of keeping Puel because their is no one else is a poor one. No other industry would keep you if you was crap at your job, didnt have a clue what you was doing, upset all your co workers and customers because they didnt know who will replace you

I get what you’re saying if things were that bad. Thing is other than the group of supporters who are set against Puel no matter what, there was a decent vibe over the run during the festive period with the results we had an they certainly didn’t look like the life was sucked out of them then. Looking objectively it’s not as bad as you make out. Review at the end of the season

Ok take our last 6 games

We beat Chelsea, Man City and Everton. Playing our old counter attacking style. The way Puel doesnt want us to play

Then we play Cardiff at home who are in the bottom 3 at the time. He plays 2 holding midfielers and lose playing Puel football

Newport away. Who are are 13th in League 2 and lost 3-2 away to Crewe yesterday. We lose playing Puel football

Southampton at home who have loads of injuries and suspensions. 1 fit striker who hasnt scored for over 30 games. 3 defensive midfielders this time. They get a player sent off at 1-0 down. The striker who hasnt scored all season and for 30+ games then scores and we lose 2-1 playing Puel football

He has sold Iborra and getting rid of Silva as they offer something different to being defensive.

After the Vichai tragedy Puel got a clean slate with the fans. This was his time to change but he didnt.

The bloke is a cancer inside the club. The players dont like him or his ways. The majority of the fans dont like him or want him there. His interview yesterday was embarrasing. Our football is dull, boring, safe, defensive and appaling viewing

Going down to the KP seems like a chore now rather then something to look forward to. Puel has done that at Lyon who protested in the streets about him, he then done it at Southampton and has done it again here. The bloke has to go
