A point takes us to 50 points doesn't it? The BBC table had us on a game less than Leeds, on 49 points? So after the update it will be 50 points? clear of 39 points in 7th? AHHH Yes you are right. Bristol have jumped all the way up to 7th. I didn't realise the points were so tight. What a day for Bristol City. 11th to 7th today!
I'm not too fussed if we drop a few places over the next month whilst we get the more difficult teams out of the way. For me the clearest indication of where we may be at the end of the season is where we were at the half way point.
That's a great result against experienced PL players, stifling their high scoring abilities. Vrancic at the heart of it and Zimmerman steady in defence. McLean made a big difference when he came on and Krul's saves kept us in it and Rhodes using his experience for the goal. This and Leeds will be our hardest games, so still well placed for the rest of of the season.
We are fortunate to have players of the quality of Leitner and Vrancic for what we paid for them. Vrancic was rated 7.8 by WhoScored for all those tackles and successful passes. McLean made 7.2 for his 20 minute contribution and Krul was next highest with 7.1. Hopefully McLean can give a boost to the rest of our season.
