Ok havnt posted for a few days and thought id just share this: So far this season Charlton are unbeaten We have look generally a better team playing a better style of football Just cos weve drawn 1-1 against the pre season favourites and were not in the auto places anymore it doesnt matter. Look at our results so far Bournemouth h 3-0 Notts County a 2-1 Col U a 2-0 Scunny h 2-2 Bury a 2-1 Sheff Wed h 1-1 Now are next fixtures Fixtures Charlton v Exeter Rochdale v Charlton Charlton v Chesterfield MK Dons v Charlton Sheffield Utd v Charlton Charlton v Tranmere So hopefully lets say we take 16 points from these matches Winning all except one draw We should be in good shape in comparrison to our start i believe sheff utd and mk dons have had a relatively easy start
If we can keep our run going for the next 5 matches, we will be in the mix at the end of the season. Mk, the Blades and the Trannies will be a stiff test.
We haven't become a bad team overnight, but I suspect CP thought that the Owls weren't decent aerially. Sometimes you make decisions that backfire, but you come back stronger for having tried them. We will bounce back this weekend, i'm sure, play the ball on the floor and hammer the Grecians.
Fickle charlton fans strike again...II remember our 7 game winning start to the season a couple of years ago and did we celebrate noooo just negativity...always the same.
If CP didn't think a team containing Lowe, madine, jones and batth were a threat aerially then I really would e scared. That said, I think he was fully aware
They were pants, Mike, and there for the taking. But we were rubbish and couldn't beat them. Yet Charlton fans are fickle for grumbling about it?
Hammer the grecians on the ground? That's their game? If Tisdale can get them playing they're as good as any on the deck
It's just he doesn't have the experience to defeat it, that is why I said that we need an experienced No 2.
I worry about the next few games, not because I think we have become a bad team overnight but over the last couple of seasons these are the games that have cost us.
Agree robbie. Will be a real test of character, as the "smaller" teams have their motivation because we are still seen as a scalp. Only thing which I hope will be different is that we have more aggressive characters now... Morro, taylor, wiggins(in comparison to bessone that is), Hollands, Stephens(who gets more stuck in that racon) etc etc.
