He was easily the man of the match. After the game one of the greatest keepers ever, Oliver Kahn (was a pundit for a german channel), called him world class.

If he is like Mad Jens he will play here for another 20 years :p

  3. He has an amazing presence in goal allied with supreme confidence. His maiden baptism of fire was when we went up to OT a year ago was it (?) and while it was a loss, you never thought anything would phase him.

It's inevitable that the big money clubs will come for him. Well, they can take a hike ;)

Nope. Chelsea are, in my opinion, more unlikely to finish in the top four than Liverpool. If arsenal finish fourth, (which unfortunately I can't see happening) then I predict Chelsea fifth.

League debut was at Old Trafford. Champions League debut was against Barcelona. Tells you all you need to know about his confidence.

No more Aluminium days for us fans............He's just started his career and is a baby in keeping terms. If he's this good already then what will he be like in his late 20s......HAPPY DAYS!!!!

He looks better than Seaman to be honest. Wow what a player he is. He's added much more to his game since last season. The saves he makes are ridiculous.

The key now is for the keeper and defence to work in proper harmony, at the moment this is not the case. Hopefully with Mertz coming in, he will take charge of our defence and communicate with our keeper. We seem too disjointed sometimes. If this happens then we will become a force once again.

We'll see. One thing is clear is that Szczesny is no longer merely a world class talent. The performances of the last month are just simply world class.

Lets not get too carried away.

Great Goalkeeping is not just about shot stopping, it's also about good positioning sense and commanding your defence. In those respects Szczesnys got away to go before reaching Seaman's level.

By "looking better" I meant two things. He's looking like he will be better and that's not getting carried away. Two, he looks better, he hasn't got a silly ponytail.

Can't disagree about the ponytail <laugh>

Seriously I believe Szczesny has the potential to be as good as or even better than Seaman. I just think he's still got a lot to learn.

  18. I wonder at this stage if we shouldn't lend our ear to someone who has seem 'em all, eh Supa? ;)

Before football, he trained to be a ballroom dancer. You just can't make this stuff up.
