I remember seeing him play for Scarborough in the late 80's, he was pretty good too. Seems to have been quite a journeyman during his career, looking at his wiki page.

He comes to us from Plymouth, before that he was keeper coach at Villa, Celtic, Leicester, Coventry, Millwall, Mansfield, Forest and Rotherham(where he's originally from).

He was keeper coach at the bigger clubs for 4-6 years each club, he's only been a Plymouth since late last year.

Glad to see us getting a new GK coach in sooner rather than later. I just hope he doesn't give NP any suggestions that he should start Gulacsi!

    something doesnt add up..

NP said in an interview that Corrigan is leaving the club due to an incident that happened in slovenia involving a player no longer at the club (Bullard).

and now the OWS says that Corrigans reason for leaving is he wants to be closer to his family.

    which is it ? :)

    Probably both!

He wants to be close to his family because of what Bullard did to him.

The Seamus is a bit misleading.

His proper (what he was known as) name is Jim McDonagh and I remember him as an excellent goalie with Bolton back in the 70s / 80s.

I'm sure his letter of resignation spoke about moving to be closer to his family, while the real reason was Bullard.

I still don't understand the situation. Supposedly after the Bullard incident, he thought, '**** it, I don't need this', and left.

And yet he left after Bullard. If he'd already gone then why did he follow suit?

I dont know exactly what went on but from what I understand is that he was undermind infront of the other players by Bullard and felt he could no longer do his job

I think it is likely that what OWS says is correct but they are omitting the NP version which is also true and possibly the principal reason.
The news management at the club is starting to remind me of the way 10 Downing Street has spin doctors to change what Ministers have already said and put out a version of events that suits the party line.
