1st Steward, ''Look! a Freddo bar wrapper caught in the brakes'' 2nd Steward, ''That brake part is the same part I have on my Ford Fiesta !''
Poor old Bottas been dealt another blow as his billionaire sponsor has dropped him citing his poor performance and poor return from F1. The Pressure is being really ramped up on the poor Finn. Now he may understand why Nico refused to stay at Mercedes once he gained his assisted title in 2016.
Mercedes surely just need him to perform more than his sponsorship money. Let us hope he does perform.
Am I right in thinking that McLaren are the only team that have announced any kind of car reveal date?
McLaren announce Andreas Siedl will lead the F1 team! He joins mid way in 2019. Finally seems like some solid leadership is coming to the fore. On paper, Siedl, Key, Fry & Prodromou is a very exciting combination. But of course time will tell!
Just in time to say that they were too ambitious with this year's car and that next year's will be better.
I have said before I actually think Stroll has decent pace , it’s just he comes across in the wrong way . To me anyway .
Max Verstappen will serve part of his punishment for shoving Esteban Ocon "as an observer to the stewards" at Saturday's Formula E race in Marrakesh. Sounds like a ruddy holiday to me !! What are they thinking, bonkers? Make him sweep the roads.
It's not like he didn't respect the marshals. Definitely not what I would consider a punishment. Not only did he assault someone he did it on TV at an FIA event broadcast round the world. Surely without proper punishment the FIA reputation has been damaged, as effectively they are saying assault another driver and have a day out with the marshals on us!!!! Stupid. He should have received a 1 race ban minimum. Even make him make a public apology would have been better. Where is the incentive for him not to do it again?
From the BBC . Before the punishment was announced, Verstappen said he did not want to do anything that would make him "look like an idiot" because he felt "already very harshly treated". Bit late for that I agree , no punishment at all !!!
I guess as it was only a shove rather than throwing a punch the FIA are taking a lenient view. One would hope though that it's something they will have in the back of their minds should he do something else unprofessional in the future.
