I thought that after I posted actually Might get one to Accrington, gotta be better than sitting on the M6 right?
I heard Burton fans had a mare trying to get to Manchester last night. It is not that distant but all it takes is one prang on the highway and the network is gridlocked, Not very nice for fans to be sitting on a coach on a freezing January evening.
Parents live on a road that dead-ends into a logging* trail unfit for anything beyond a dirtbike (even then it's chancy). Unless you trust GPS devices, which believe that it's a main thoroughfare. Mountains of fun. *For those of you in the UK, "logging" is when you have so many trees that someone comes and takes a great many of them away to turn into mush, but yet there are still a great many of them still there. Until there aren't, but they're still here, mostly.
Just get the local borough to do some well-timed roadworks instead! That should créate a bit of a buzz!!
I did say Acrrington v Derby/Saints would be on TV. Someone would take a chance on Saints beating Derby to set up a potential giant killing tie.
https://www.lequipe.fr/Football/Act...ivere-et-julien-fournier-sur-le-depart/976452 Via Google Translate "Jean-Pierre Rivère, the president of OGC Nice, and Julien Fournier, the club's general manager, announced at a press conference this Friday afternoon, their departure from the Gym. It will intervene when their successors have been recruited. The two strong men of the club are in conflict with the Chinese majority shareholders of the club, particularly on the strategy to adopt in terms of recruitment."
*2023-24 sorry Yeah not sure who chose to move this game but that's why all the 3rd round games were at weird times. https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/46514821
Leeds sending a spy to Derby training ground brought back memories of Wenger in the bushes at Marchwood!
FA looking into the Bielsa spying incident....I suppose it could come into that catch-all crime of bringing the game into disrepute. Pretty disgraceful in my mind...unsporting conduct comes to mind. Bielsa claims it isn't illegal...probably isn't, but if it was acceptable behaviour, why hide? Makes me wonder what kind of staff he has...can you imagine the look you'd get if you asked the average assistant coach to go hide in bushes? Leed's owner has now apologised to Derby and said that Bielsa has been reminded about the integrity and standards that he wants associated with Leeds.
Tempted by the Accrington game if we get through. I have basically no idea where it is apart from being north. Perhaps not, apparently I would have to leave at 7 the previous evening to arrive at 6am on the train, and pay £80 for my over night trip
Thanks. My UK geography is so bad. I could point out where an obscure country in Asia is on a map or tell you that the capital of Lesotho is Maseru but ask me to point out where Nottingham is on a map and I'd be ****ed
