Also worth taking into account, Burton have qualified for this. I'd think of it slightly differently if it was the first round Man City entered at, but if Burton get to the semi final they should expect a proper test. As for if Saints were in that position, I'd want them to keep going just to see how many we got before Long finally scored one!
Nigel Adkins is named Championship manager of month for winning 5/6 games. Nearly put it in the Saints thread...as he is almost one of our own.
According to Google Maps it would take 4 hours 51 minutes to drive from Southampton. Good luck with that guys!
Absolute contempt for the people who actually go and attend football matches. It beggars belief that Saints agreed to that timing change.
You win, you lose. Yes, you'd have to set off early, but on the other hand the journey back will be earlier.
It's because of the new overseas TV deal. But don't worry guys, it only runs until the 2024-25 season.
Wow, what a ****ing joke though I'm not surprised. Bring slightly selfish for a minute though and I suspect this means that anyone who wants a ticket will get one should we get through. 5am set off
Yeah it's miles better than a 5:30 ko up there. Actually it's probably the best ko time of all the tv games.
Be worse for Sheffield Wednesday fans. If they beat Luton their reward will be a trip tl Chelsea for a Sunday 6pm ko
Just read on the BBC webiste that Karanka has left Forest. The high turnover of managers is in sharp contrast to their years as a top club from the late 70s to around 1991 under the management of Brian Clough. Issues behind the scenes I suspect, and in this case it might be the Chairman who is too interfering but Forest fans will be far better informed on this aspect. Just how their players react will be interesting. Gary Rowett? Can't imagine it would be any of the has-beens that have been on the PL circuit for many a year.
I just wonder how successful David Jones will really be at Stoke? It beggars belief to leave an unwardly mobile club like Luton for a club marooned in the Championship midtable.
Brentford fans might as it could well be a 3 hour ordeal on the North Circular, M25 and public transport to get there.
3 hours on public transport from Brentford to Barnet? What you using, a hot air balloon? I could get to Barnet from Southampton in less than that!
Not always reliable!! Last year a guy used Google Maps to get to a finca up on the hillside here it Esporles, What it did not tell him was the "road" was a dirt track and too narrow for his car. He had to get rescued.
