even if you get someone as good as, or even marginally lower standard, if they can play 20-30 games a season, they are better value.
They have asked if they can have him back. Worth a place on the bench surely given we have no fit forwards (Ward?) and Madine has gone.
Looks like a one way revolving door - another one out?................... https://www.hulldailymail.co.uk/spo...ews/hull-city-craig-connolly-transfer-2419354
All these outgoings (even if they didn’t make the 25) surely mean that the club is expecting somebody to come in?
Certainly making room in the 25. That's 2 gone. What's the rule during the transfer window? Healy not in the original 25. Can he play until the end of the month until an updated 25 is submitted and beyond only if included? Not sure how it works in January.
Good luck to Connolly. Another one who has been a great servant over the years, more recently playing rarely buy not letting us down when called upon. He has actually been in Prem promoted sides on 5 occasions, twice with us, so Hull must fancy his chances as a good luck charm.
@ccfcremotesupport @BluefromBridgend - if you lose a player in January (transfer or loan) who was in the first half season list, as soon as he is off your books you can immediately replace him with one that wasn't previously listed. I'll just add to that - now that Madine has officially gone, Healey could be included for tomorrow.
https://www.walesonline.co.uk/sport/football/transfer-news/cardiff-city-rhys-healey-mk-15663852 Prefer him to Ward if I’m honest. He’s a fox in the box and IMO had he not got injured he’d have been a big part of our championship team.
It does seem that way but Tomlin & Pilkington weren’t part of the 23 (or is it 25?). If Damour goes then we are down to the bare bones. Anyone else bar Healey out on loan we can haul back
https://footballlive.ng/moses-prefers-cardiff-palace-to-fernebahce/ Another one that will snub us and leave NW furious?
It's definitely 25 Nin - here's ours for the first half season......... Cardiff City 25 Squad players (*Home grown) Harry Arter* Sol Bamba Joe Bennett* Victor Camarasa Matthew Connolly* Greg Cunningham* Loic Damour Bruno Ecuele Manga Neil Etheridge* Aron Gunnarsson David Hoilett* Gary Madine* Kadeem Harris* Nathaniel Mendez-Laing* Sean Morrison* Brian Murphy* Joshua Murphy* Callum Paterson Lee Peltier* Joe Ralls* Bobby Reid* Jazz Richards* Alex Smithies* Danny Ward* Kenneth Zohore The only other one who has come back with any chance of making the 25 would be "Sparky" (no relation ) Harris.
Is that replace permanently, or can you keep chopping and changing until the end of January? As a scenario, could we play Healy tomorrow, sign a new striker next week, send Healy back out on loan and play the new guy next weekend? Also, irrespective of someone leaving, could you pull someone from the 25 and add someone not in the 25 in? E.g., if they hadn't moved on, could we have pulled madine from the 25 and added pilks in? A possible requirement for teams if a player gets a season ending injury.
Yes, you can change it temporarily because the current 25 is in effect until 31st January. You must then submit your new 25 by that date which takes you through until the end of the season. So Healey could be in for now, but out again if we get in another striker but not until he was put back out on loan.
@ccfcremotesupport - on the other points you've raised in your post - once you've named you squad, you're stuck with it and can't swap players in and out. Also about a long term injury sustained by one of the 25, it looks as though a club would be stuffed and have to utilise one of it's under 21 players instead who wouldn't need registration. The only exception would be for simultaneous injuries to several club goalkeepers - and there the rules seem very hazy about replacements.
