For anyone interested this interview with Cody is quite good, it covers his time at Gills, why he left, Jet, Jed. It lasts just short of 50 minutes so you need a bit of time, but well worth watching. http://gills365.co.uk/2019/01/08/co...p-life-his-gills-career-and-fantasy-7-a-side/
Will try and get time to watch it at the weekend. I expect @The Gills PegLeg has already viewed it half dozen times
Contrary to belief, I've only watched it the once. I do enjoy their videos but once again Matt let's himself down by inherently talking over the person he interviews. Interesting though that Cody did want to stay but Pennock would only offer him 1 year when he wanted 2. He could still be here now.
Cody went to Wimbledon for less money but 2 year contract, I also thought the bit about Jet was interesting, the GPS he wore showed a high work rate but Ade just didn't want to play him.
He also noted though that what the players feel is happening on the pitch can also look massively different in the stands and I think Ady saw what we all saw in that he wasn't giving it enough welly each game.
I understand that can happen but the GPS isn't opinion, it wasn't Jet thinking he had covered the miles it was the GPS confirming it.
I haven't listened, but as a generality it's not just putting in the miles, it's where, when and at what speeds you do it. If you jog around the pitch for 90 minutes you'll probably do at least 10k... I remember seeing JET at Oldham where he seemed to wander from side to side of the pitch about 10 yards in Oldham's half for a significant part of the match. He contributed absolutely nothing.
