    Great,great track.

The Ruts DC are out gigging again pretty soon. I took a newbie to see them with SLF last year. He liked SLF but has asked to come to the next Ruts gig. It's well worth it, I guarantee it.

The Damned and Ruts were really, really close and gigged together a lot. Here's a little belter from The Ruts DC and well.....you know the rest...

Dave with they lyrics written down...<laugh>

My mates are putting the world's numero uno Ramones tribute act, 53rd and 3rd, back together for this summer. First gig probably in June, possibly on my birthday (by special request)...1-2-3-4....

Has there ever been a music video with so much wrong with it?

Cool. Get them to play somewhere in the frozen North will you?

    Do you remember Gabba?
A Ramones/Abba tribute band is a great idea

I'll ask. They were big in the South West back a decade or so and of course, locally in London. Unfortunately, the pub venues just aren't there any more.

Gabba? I think that they passed me by but this was always a goody....

same singer as 53rd and 3rd. The rest are now The Johnny Moped Band

Lucky for you there doesn't appear to be a trace of the video for Revolting Cocks' cover of Da Ya Think I'm Sexy on the internet anymore

Apart from this very short clip...

Also noted for causing Pete Waterman to have one hell of a public tantrum...

    I remember it well. :)

Hilarious, as he tried to start a Roadblock was some
"rare groove" gem unearthed by SAW hoax, but the only
way the track (some non-popsters say is the best SAW made)
got to number 1 is in sample form.

Totally agree. This sounds as fresh an relevant today as it did 40 years ago...

Unfortuately, very little of their back catalogue ever gets played apart from 'Teenage Kicks' and maybe 'My Perfect Cousin'. The riff on this is stunning...

2 May - Electric Ballroom £30.25 entry- see you there.
    11 May - Manchester Ritz O2 - Luke, I shall expect a gig review!

Support is The Neville Staples Band. In the late 80's or early 90's one of my brothers' mates worked at the Walthamstow job centre. Neville Staples used to come in, as he was out of work. Tough times indeed.

Talking about sounding fresh. Here's a 'B' side from 'the boys' in 1982. Terrible waste of a really good song. It should have made the Strawberries album but was considered out of kilter with that album's more poppy feel. It's a sign of how hot they were that this was a 'B' side.

Nice video shots honouring most of those who served...no Lemmy...or the guys who recorded the missing album. Anyway, enjoy...

Too good a band to not join in, and as Brian says criminally underplayed - so many great songs from the classic singles that all had brilliant B sides too songs like Mars Bars and Lets Talk about Girls amongst the 'B's and I loved the cover of Under The Boardwalk but heres a couple of my favourites

Fantastic Cover of A Style Council Song - The original council version has Weller singing over a Violin, but this is similar to a version he used to play live when he would sing just him and his guitar Billy Braggesque!
