I'm going to download it over the weekend, though I still haven't seen Bodyguard, Keeping Faith, Killing Eve, Mrs Wilson etc etc Lots and lots of things to watch...
Slightly unusual request but there do seem to be more than a few IT bods on here. The teenage son of a friend is looking for a job in IT. He's looking for a role where he's looking after IT infrastructure. He's not looking to work for a major corporate, more a local firm that is big enough to need IT support, in the Southampton area. If anyone knows of anything or hears anything, please do feel free to PM me. In terms of quality of the lad, I genuinely wish I had a need for someone to do the job he's looking for. He's a diamond. Vin
He could do worse than look at IT jobs in local NHS institutions, particularly SGH or the RSH, both of which will have IT departments which play a huge part in furtherance of healthcare by maintaining networks and implementation of software solutions.
I'll keep my ears open for you - potentially a few things entry level in the Bournemouth area this time of year. As Chilcs said - NHS and maybe councils are great grounding.
A slight change of subject, but is anyone else a little confused about the death of a 14 yo moped rider, who was first knocked off his bike then brutally assaulted by three men who used weapons to stab him. Lots of witness accounts about this lad, and how he'd drive around, never causing trouble. Did anyone ever think to ask him why he was riding a moped on the roads? It seems to me, this was more preventable than his 'friends and family' would have us believe. Maybe I'm a little old fashioned, but if your going to joy-ride, its best to not let people know who you are, and stay, perhaps out of trouble. Saying that, the guys he ran into were obviously deranged, judging by what they did. (Perhaps this is why Abbot wants more restraint when it comes to taking down moped riders, some of them are children!)
Just another youth stabbed to death to me, he’s no special case , happens every day, it’ll never change.
Had you not mentioned the age of him or what he was doing before the attack I wouldn’t of taken much notice tbh. Now I have noticed , for me personally it’s a bit of a “meh” type reaction. Like I say , see it every day , nothing new. They’ll only be another one shot dead tomorrow. Probably sounds a bit harsh , but it’s just how it is.
From what friends and relatives said, he may have got in over his head...why can't lads stick to scrumping....and remember that whatever he got involved in he was only a kid. Feel sorry for any parent trying to raise a kid in the inner city....beginning to see why some people flee to small Scottish islands.

If it was my motorbike he or the like had pinched, I'd want to get mediaeval with them. #thievingscum
He was physically knocked off the bike, and stabbed to death. That's about as close to medieval as you can get.
Did you know? The police have reported that there are so many cars on the roads of Somerset these days that the people of Chilcompton have stopped pointing at them.
In rather more cheery news, the new Minister for Telecommunications in Bangladesh is called Mustafa Jabbar. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mustafa_Jabbar That is all.
Those stats are crazy!! I’m actually shocked! Where do you live? Over the Xmas period alone I can think atleast 1 lad that got like murdered 3 streets away from me, and a fair few other stabbings.
