Milner demands response to Reds 'blip' https://www.liverpoolfc.com/news/first-team/333409-james-milner-liverpool-form-brighton
****ing hate those articles. Lets trot someone out to be positive articles after they know they ****ed up and disgraced themselves. YOu note they never do it after a loss where the side hasn't disgraced itself.
"Blip" "downturn in form". FFS. We've lost a close game against the reigning champions, the most expensively assembled squad in the league - and a cup game we weren't arsed about with a scratch team against a strong PL side. Utter drivel. If we struggle on Saturday, then they can start talking about a blip.
press have asked pep and he has said he'd rather be in all 4 cups (you ****ing losers) I may have added a bit there.
did he have ten... did we or did we make up a few cos lallana wasn't arsed playing? vvd had a sniffle Henderson was ****ed out looking at porn
Sorry but saint is right . City squad most expensive both in terms of actual cost and value. https://talksport.com/football/4236...ty-spurs-tottenham-arsenal-everton-leicester/ https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/premier-league/teuersteelf/wettbewerb/GB1
Im much happier with a blip being "knocked out of an inconsequential stage of a minor cup tournament experimenting with kids, and losing 1 game in the league " than I am with what was called a blip in previous seasons where we could lose several crucial games at a time. Our "blip" this year (assuming it ends now) is rather quaint.
city made a point last night. look at us. we play for guardiola. we can't let up for one second. we cannot and will not let up at any stage. lfc said last Monday. we don't really care.about performing. we can play **** and still get picked or collect our wages. anyone who doesn't get that .. it's not about selection it's about attitude. our attitude stinks and has stunk for 3 years
I think we give too many excuses to our players. City’s squad is deeper and more expensive than ours. We can’t fight on too many fronts and therefore must give up on the less important trophies, we might injure our key players , we might become too tired from too many high intensity matches. But hang on a second: our expenditure on players may be lower than city or man United but is up there with the rest. The value or cost of our squad is higher than Chelsea Arsenal or Spurs. Yet do they give up on the lesser cups like the league or FA cups? Absolutely spot on about attitude. And that must come from the very top.
City showed they have learned nothing last night. They've blew teams away in the PL too. They kept a clean sheet only because Burton were so crap they only managed a single shot. When teams attack them them they routinely concede. We've let up and saved our legs for the long run many times over the season.
How is this City not learning anything? Should they have held back, preserved their strength and saved their legs? here was a inferior team in front of them and they smashed them. What did they do wrong? Burton inevitably couldn't lay a glove on them but it is not really their fault. I still maintain our attitude (players and manager) to these cups is wrong. It is not about playing our full strength team. Every club rotates and play their bench players. It is about the players who play seeing this as an opportunity to help the club progress into these. But the manager must give the right signal. he mustn't give the impression that the match was insignificant. Which he did whether intentionally or not. Also I am fed up with the likes of Sturridge, Shaqiri, Keita, Moreno not giving their all for this type of match and treating it as some training session. Our squad whether you like it or not is as expensive as if not more than those of Chelsea Spurs and Arsenal. The senior players should set an example to the youngsters rather be shown up by them. Chelsea, Spurs, City competing for the league cup semis. so this cup is not beneath them is it?
