Final whistle. 0-2 to Pompey. Through to the quarter finals.

Radio Solent have just said that Sarfend couldn't even manage one single shot on goal for Alex Bass to save <doh>

Apparently we earn £40,000 for winning the match, to add to circa. £180,000 for our recent FA Cup victory. Could come in handy during the January transfer window <ok>

I thought Sarfend were putting out a strong team and were a bit hacked off with us putting out our reserves :emoticon-0112-wonde

We started the match with six existing or former Academy players, and brought on two more during the game. Augurs well for the future <ok>

The Eisner philosophy - it's what they said they wanted. Clearly Kenny J shares that philosophy. Must admit it's something most of us have wanted to see from the club.

Long may this Midas touch of "KIng Kenny" continue. At least until we are established as a Championship Top 6 side. The result surprised me. Just hope the U21s of Chelsea lose tomorrow. Pity Manchester City's won as this competiton should be for League 1 and 2 teams and not U21 sides from the PL. Imagine a final of City U21s and Chelsea U21, then another City v Chelsea in the Carabou Cup, and another in the FA Cup.

Good luck to Sunderland - let's just have proper teams in the semis.
