Hi All, I just got the go-ahead from the family for us to do a Bremner Square tile and for Friday's In Memoriam display at ER. The deadline for Friday was about 8 hours ago so I will try to follow up with the club to make sure it will be included. I submitted: Harj, Punjabi White His 606 friends - BBC, JA and Not I hope someone will be able to get a picture of the screen display and be able to share the pic with us later. For the tile, I propose a £99 one, with the inscription: Harj Punjabi White RIP 606 mate This accommodates the 12 character per line limitation. Two questions regarding the tile: 1) Should we include Harj's full name, or keep it to the name we all knew on the 606 boards? 2) Who would like to contribute? Many have already said yes, and LIW generously committed a tenner. I suggest once we have a count, we can figure out a per contributor amount. I expect it will be £3 or £4 each. I have posted a similar article on the JA606 Board also. Please respond ASAP. Thanks, in advance. UPDATE To make it easier to track, I will keep a running accumulation of all who want to participate. Even if you indicated your willingness to do so previously, please reconfirm here (* = contribution received, thank you very much). Never knew Harj as was only an occasional lurker on 606, & think I've only looked in on JA once. That said, please count me in. MOT ALAW
Crikey! That's ringing a little bell. And sadly, I was sober, so no excuse. I'm afraid my memory is failing me regularly these days, especially with faces, which I used to be brilliant at (could never match the names to the faces, right enough).
Will probably have to be straight transfer from me as well, only knew him as a poster but one of our own enough for me.
I'm in, will have to be a straight bank transfer from me as well. Not sure if you could let me know via messenger Bucks if i miss it on here?
Thanks guys, it always astonishes me how generous in spirit football fans are. Of course, most of my interactions have been with Leeds fans but look at the fans of other clubs coming onto JA606 to express good thoughts and even contribute financially! Very moving. We have started receiving the funds. Its looking like we will get to 50 or so contributors, so probably will be £2 each. Anything more than the cost of the tile, will be donated to a charity designated by Harj's family. If anyone has any specific suggestions, other than Paypal, for collecting the contributions please let me know. Thank you all, makes me very proud to be one of you.
As Jonty on JA606 is in UK, he will be handling the collection using Paypal. It appears £2 each will get us as much as we need, but feel free to send more if you like. Please send as "sending to family and friends" to avoid charges and include your not606 handle so we can keep track. We have set a deadline of 1 week from now and all monies collected at time pay for the Bremner Square tile and the rest goes to charity. The Paypal email for contributions to be sent to is: [email protected] Feel free to contact him if you prefer to do a bank transfer instead. Many thanks, MOT!
This might be just me,but don't have a clue how to do this, can you walk me through it very slowly lol
First step is to go to https://www.paypal.com/us/home to set up an account. If you prefer not to do this, is there someone you can give the cash to for them to make the contribution? Would you prefer banking details to send directly to an account?
Paypal remember to click send to Friends and Family NOT Goods or services or they deduct a percentage for charge. If anyone is having a problem with PayPal you can send me the funds bank transfer and I'll add it to my paypal donation with a note I'll also update it on here for transparency Edit - Sorry just read Jonny is offering to provide bank details, missed that
How come I've just got an email saying I've sent funds to topshottennis.com when I sent it to [email protected]
