As I'm sat at my office eating my marmite on toast, Yum I got to thinking, things arn't all that bad. A few decent loan signings, a left back and a big centre back and I'm sure we'll be in the mix at the end of the season. Not sure if the 3rd cup of coffee i've had in half an hour is going to my head, but i'm feeling quite upbeat, really looking looking to the Palace match, Becchio may even be on the bench.. Song of the day is chumbawamba's Tubthumping
Elland, given that I was verbally abused for not playing that song at some Xmas bash yeasr's ago by a little diploprat, I'd ban that song on principal. That said & back to the serious matter of Saturday, I have a good feeling about the game. Think we'll have to work hard to get anything out of it given the difference in our league positions at the moment & the fact that we're still conceding silly goals. But Becchio on the bench with 15 mins to go & even Paynter managing a goal the other night bodes well for the next few weeks. Not sure we'll see any new signings before Saturday, but informed speculation about one or two decent incomings would help. Still going for 1-1, maybe 2-1 at a stretch. Morning by the way.
Morning All Looking forward to Saturday....PROPER FOOTBALL is back None of this poncy England ****, with these overpaid, overhyped pieces of greedy bollocks. Good, old fashioned Championship Dog Togger!!! And drinks with the beautiful SWW before/after the game
Shame bout the Welsh bloke, supposedly killed by his own fans!! He was a Cardiff Fan supposedly...Police have already ruled out inter-club rivallry? How?
Morning all Fair ****ing play to Wales, they looked a great team with Speed in charge. They certainly passed it about much better than I expected, better than us in fact. Gary Speed my old hero could be one to watch in the future! RIP to the Welsh lad who died before the game. No doubt some stupid Cardiff, Swansea rivallary. Sad really when someones son/brother/father goes to watch a footy game and doesnt come home.
Sad really when someones son/brother/father goes to watch a footy game and doesnt come home --------------- unimaginable mate!!!
anyone know how O'dea played for ROI last night? 0-0 and by all accounts Ireland were lucky to hang on
Well thanks to England, I was done out of €193. I had 9 teams up, but did England to score over 2.5 goals, what with losing out on a ton on Mon because of Charlton, I'm not a happy bunny....wahhhhhhhhhhhh Morning all by the way.
It was the worse than Rosential miss for Liverpool some years ago! On top of that Earnshaw must be the ugliest bloke from Wales, he reminds me of an Alien!
We were lucky not to have lost by 7/8 goals. O'Dea IMO played ok, unlike Ward who was ****e, as were Whelan and Andrews. Dunne was out fooking standing. A player who would be brilliant for us.
Ouch Unlucky shak! To be fair I thought we would win 3-0 but thats me being ignorant I guess as I didnt know Wales played such good football under Speed. Cosmic, he didnt look good in the second half that I caught. He let a ball drift over him in the last 5 minutes as he thought it was going out of play when a Russian nipped in behind him & smashed it diagonally from about 8 yards out, took a hell of a save from Given to keep ROI in the game. What a keeper he is, why he hasnt played for a bigger club is beyond me. Understandable at City I suppose as I rate Hart about the same as Given, but wow what a keeper.
Shak, Dunne was on another level! I think he turned us down & went to Blackburn a good few years ago didnt he? Or am I thinking of someone else?
As you say, RIP the poor guy who died. At least when the Tartan Army travel, they forget inter-club rivalry knowing that they're representing Scotland rather than any particular club. In fact having met them in Lithuania when they were over a couple of years ago, they make a point of emphasising that & that the hard lads take anyone found to be causing trouble or singing sectarian songs aside for what can only be described as a quiet chat. Looking at the game, not sure which was worse, Rooney not singing the National Anthem, Mae Hen Laed an Eggae (Welsh National Anthem in phonetics) being booed, or England's inability to go past players & create more chances
