I just did it as a simple four fold on oddschecker. I don’t buy these “specials” markets. Interesting I think b365 are just over 100/1 and are nrnb
I always get flashbacks to 2004 when I think of bets like this. Rooster Booster, Moscow Flyer, Barracuda and Best Mate all looked certainties. Up to the Gold Cup they'd all lost.
Three more: National Hunt Chase Blow By Blow 25/1 e/w Foxhunter Chase Shantou Flyer 10/1 win JLT Novices Chase Master Dino 16/1 e/w
A few horses that I have on the radar for when the NRNB kicks in. Queenohearts for Stuart Edmunds. Won a listed event at Haydock just before Xmas in decent style. Current odds of between 25-33/1 for the Mares Novice Hurdle look generous. She'd certainly be lower odds if trained by a more high profile owner. I'm still waiting for the ex Lacey horse Energumene to make his bumper debut. I gather he's now under the ownership of Tony Bloom and stabled at Closutton but still no entries. A general 33/1 for the bumper though if you want NRNB Skybet will only give you 14/1. The other horse is Black Op. Whatever negatives that can be thrown at this horse regarding his jumping his constitution cannot be questioned. To get to within 7 lengths of the winner in the Dipper yesterday was nothing short of miraculous given that he made so many jumping errors including a proper rick at the 4th last. 20/1 for both the JLT and RSA.
Ive also added Blow by Blow in the four miler 25/1 for my 2nd AP bet;if he turns up in this race on the day he would have a decent chance.
Very good novice hurdle race in Nass today which should provide a few clues for the Ballymore Novices. Battleoverdoyen was very impressive lto out winning at Navan but I've decided to take an ew slice of 14s on Mr Mullins Tornado Flyer who came third in the champion hurdle in March. I dont really rate the fav Champ at 5/1 so hoping for a big run from TF to shake up the market.
I think I read Black Op is going to go back over hurdles or was that someone on here suggesting that?
Very sad news, Master Dino out of the season. https://www.racingpost.com/news/lat...the-year-after-sustaining-leg-fracture/360519
Feel bad for connections, would also have added abit more excitement to the race with the old French link.
Yes, very sad. He looked pretty smart. I wonder at what stage in the race (if it was in the race) that occurred, and how it occurred
not been watching much of the jumps this season, looked really poor Buveur Dair and Apples Jade double is a licence to print Penhill 7/1 for the world hurdle looks decent value, the english stayers look hopeless and hes won 3 mile hurdles at the last 2 festivals, absence not a concern given profile Coeur Sublime should be unbeaten and could end up thrown in for Fred Winter, hes 14/1 and 25s for the Triumph, suspect he might end up with a mark thats too good to refuse the handicap although I could see him running big in the triumph as well
Sickener, looked very decent at Plumpton. Still just a 5 yo though so still got time on his side. Doesn't help your AP punt though. Unlucky.
Shantou Flyer backers. Are you not worried about the likely owner/jockey? Ol fat boy Nicholls used to refer to Mr Maxwell as enthusiastic. I think he meant ****e!
