They mightn’t want to but circumstances may dictate it. Bielsa advised against selling Vierra and does anyone believe Jansson for example will want to stay indefinitely in this division. Who knows, ten more wins this season would end the speculation

Depends how much credence you want to put to a football chairman justifying the sale of a (reasonably) prized asset.

He definitely said we had to sell a couple of players a year to breakeven... doesn’t necessarily mean he wouldn’t dip in if he felt it necessary.

Noises from Around the club have implied cash is tight... but if I was radz i’d Be doing everything I could to give bielsa what he wants... carpe diem and all that when you’re top at Christmas.

People said Jansson was leaving at the end of last season and who would have blamed him if he did after the way it panned out, but the season we're having now, despite the injuries to key players i'm sure the likes of Jansson know we have something big happening at Elland Road and will want to be part of it

Hopefully and hopefully the temptation of a 100k a year in the pl doesn’t prove too much of a carrot if we miss out

True, must keep reminding myself most footballers now are greedy bastards and have no loyalty to their clubs. only the pound

Don’t know about you, but if I could quadruple my wages I wouldn’t have much loyalty either

I don't think either of us will have to worry about that one, cos it ain't gonna happen in our world.
But, we mustn't forget that footballers have a short career and need to earn millions because they're not capable of getting a proper job when they hang their boots up at around 35 years of age

The club have invested heavily in the Academy over the last 3 seasons, especially the last year with players like Huaghland, Halme, Kun, Edmondson, Dalby, Stevens, Miazek and a few more. Bielsa is on with a culling exercise which was started before he arrived with the sale of Billy Whitehouse, Robbie McDade and quite a few more. This Summer will see more going out who havent made the grade and there will also be players like Wilks, Coyle and Denton who will also be sold, and that may also include Nessy. There will still be kids coming in but kids who are at the top end of the skill league.

We still have a lot of deadwood to offload but 2 players we are lumbered with for a while yet are Ideguchi and O’Kane both having massive leg injuries. Sacko looks like having his contract terminated and then we have players like Bouy, LDB, Anita, Cibicki, Grot, just look at the list of loan players we have out, there are loads. These need offloading to get them off the books and bring in some revenue.

I dont see Radz selling any player that Bielsa wants unless said player requests to leave. We will know more in 3 weeks when we see if anyone has been brought in

When you look at the list of deadwood it doesn’t reflect well on Orta despite how well Bielsa has got the rest playing (I don’t think so anyway ;))

Bielsa works with smaller numbers and doesnt like big squads as he cant give attention to everyone. I reckon he had a list of names and that meant some players were always going to be shoved out. LDB seems to be playing well, We know Grot is and Cibicki is wanted after a good loan to Molde'. Hopefully Ekuban will be gone, Anita playing well in a bad team, O'Kane wasnt the worst player we had last season and Ideguchi never got a chance because of the strange way we brought him in. Bielsa had a look at him and Klich if you remember so would seem it was a toss up between the 2 which Klich won. ideguchi was playing brilliant in Germany and was unlucky having his knee go....

Every player will eventually find a level he’s good at. Might be one two or three divisions below ours. Players that fail with us invariably cost the club money. We seldom get transfer fees and wages will likely be subsidised by us if moving down the divisions. Maybe even payoffs required to move them on permanently. By an large Orta did terrible business in his first season. Some u23s look good but time will tell what percentage will be capable of performing at top end of championship. Hopefully a decent number as we aren’t doing well on the transfer front
