Surely we all expected it didn't we? I was more perplexed by the formation than the selection, tbh. The two FB's were nowhere to be seen most of the time that we were under attack. Of course, in Moreno's case that's probably a good thing.....
Nope, not those that are realistic to know that city can play a whole different 11 and have 11 players that would wipe the floor with 75% of the prem where as we don’t so need to prioritise.
The 4th round would have been easy. Against Shrewsbury or Stoke. It’s one thing putting a team that could win it by playing a mixture of youngsters and experienced first teamers. Quite another to put a team which realistically had virtually no chance. And by putting out that team he virtually signalled to his players that he wouldn’t be too upset with a loss.
A changed team yeah...certainly.... the apathy .....? If that didn't come from Klopps attitude to the comp then for senior players to show that to the young guys on the pitch is make sure they trained alone so as not to stink up the place any further
No...because we all know we are heading in the right direction and we will win something sooner or later
Problem for Brighton game is centre back position if Lovren is still out. Do we play Fabinho alongside VVD or play the young lad, who is at least a centre back and would be playing his normal position. We have been unlucky that all our injuries are in the same position. We need to win the Brighton game to get our confidence back
Bit dissapointed. Yes it is "only" the FA cup, but the FA cup should mean more than that. Klopp didnt really have a choice; VvD and Robertson needed a rest and had that been VvD who went off after 2 mins, we would be screaming bloody murder. The 'effort' from some 1st team players was appaling. Seriously, **** Sturridge! Origi may be **** but at least he tried in the 2nd half, Sturridge may be our best natural finisher but he is the prime example of hard work beating talent if talent doesnt work hard
It wasn’t so much the back 4, it was the complete change of shape and you patently didn’t have a clue what you were doing. It was bizarre. I thought you’d rest a few, but he approached that game like he didn’t give a **** imo.
Dont need a trophy. Would like one yes. Need one? No... Over the last 3 years who has enjoyed watching their team more, lfc fans or united fans? United fans can celebrate a couple of trophies, so 2 very enjoyable days. Where as we’ve enjoyed 80% of the season playing the football we have without winning a trophy. Comes down to the old question, what’s more ijnportabt to you, enjoying watching your team week in week out, or winning a trophy despite playing horrible football
Not sure Lovrens was all that serious, no hobble or limp, just looked uncomfortable. Could be only very minor. If not it'll be Fabinho When are Gomez and Matip back?
Tbh, I don't think we've taken this competition very seriously for many years. Normally that would irritate me, but this time I really don't care. If ever the bigger fish aphorism had meaning, it's this time.
And some people. Not neceserarily on here have said we should offer sturridge a contract extension. **** that get rid asap.
