It's really popular with tourists. This place would make a stunning holiday let, you'd have it booked 40 weeks of the year.

<laugh> I've got another place I can live in. Wouldn't be opposed to a bit more van life. But maybe not with a 5 year old and a puppy.....

    Worth an investment then mate.

Keeping it clean and simple would mean low cost of doing it up too

If I was going to buy it, I'd buy it to live there. And yep I'd keep it all clean and simple anyway, no point putting a £15k kitchen in a 2 bed terraced cottage. A good quality basic kitchen and bathroom suite would do.

    Ah ok.

I was looking at it from investment opportunity and thought you were too.

Bottom line mate building can be kept low in price if y run around a bit. I get 2.5k b and q kitchens for around 7/800 quid. But for my buy and sell properties I go eBay and buy decent second hand ones

My own extension should have been around the 35k mark but I did it for under 12. Including materials.

I wouldn't know in other areas but locally I know who can do what and how much they charge etc. Never get one bloke to do the job. Takes longer but huge savings for me

I got my current kitchen for free through a chippy mate who was putting a new one in for a client. She just wanted rid of the old one, which was only a few years old anyway. So yeah there's loads of bargains to grab.

I'd do this place up myself, but I've just about finished my house and I'm not sure I want to take it all on again. This place needs pretty much everything doing and seems like a headache, that said, I might get the bug again ... who knows. Watch this space.

I been doing the whole buy and sell properties for about 12 years mate and it never bothered me

Then decided to do my own house and it's killed the passion. Sleeping on airbeds and that for a fee weeks and the daily grind is too much

Have a house I need to do up and sell but cannot be arsed

Had I not done my own it would have gone ages ago. So yeah if you wanting to live in it and work on it my view is "**** that". But like you might get the bug again

I've got another place I can stay in, so I wouldn't have to live in it and do it up at the same time. I did that with my current house, and it's a mare at times trying to live and work in a building site.

I'm just not sure I've got the time (or willing) to take this one on, especially running my own business and raising little ones. Dunno, I like a challenge though. I might get my place valued and go from there.

Fair enough if you got other stuff on.

With me I had to quit my full time job when my lad came along and needed caring for. So the properties became the full time job I could do in my own time

Tbh if I wasn't going through a bit of crap at the mo, that place would have peaked my interest as a holdiay home (with your blessing obviously)

But not a chance at the moment

Really means you'll get your brother in law to do it while you make the tea, same as your shed.

Big money in property mate .

I bought and sold houses for living in and that's a different ball game. But as a business it can be lucrative

Just smoked a joint, on my way to the shop for the first time in ages. I was really big into property a few year ago, it's not as easy as some people would have you believe. You're lucky if you make 10% on some properties that get flipped after all the costs.

So anyway, that house is sold and contracts being exchanged tomorrow <laugh>

Oh well, was a nice idea. Think I'll get my place valued anyway, it's got me thinking about a new challenge.
