Probably not for another couple of seasons, at least.
He'll have a shot on a pre-season tour at some point and he'll have to grab his opportunity.
It must be heartening to see Winks, Walker-Peters, Amos and Skipp all getting a chance, though.

I'm guessing Parrott will play in Monday's U23 match

Luckily we don't have any hapless Croatian centre backs to potentially jinx this...

I'm almost tempted to see if any responses are spitting feathers at him starting instead of Parrott.

Also, is this the first time our U23s have had two full internationals in the starting lineup?

About time they faced a player named Sterling who can get a shot on target...

Meanwhile, TOB is thankful he isn't getting the treatment George Marsh got from Lallana last season - but it's close

Scoring from 25 yards? Shouldn't that be 25 yards past the last defender but the officials allowed it anyway?

So while he was out injured, it looks like he's had a hand fixed to his back. Now we know.

So that's why he was taken off at half time...

One thing worth mentioning is the different formations we played in each half

First half: Whiteman; Hinds, Eyoma, Tanganga, Georgiou; TOB, Marsh, Duncan, Roles; Sterling, Janssen
Second Half: Whiteman; Hinds, Eyoma, Tanganga, Reynolds; Marsh, Duncan; TOB, Roles, Georgiou (replaced with Tracey); Sterling

The AFTV bores are already desperate to know who the ref is so they can concoct their usual conspiracy theory bollocks...

Two from Troy Parrott and one each from Rodel Richards and J'Neil Bennett

Parrott also won a penalty, which was taken by White and was saved. Not sure why he didn't take it himself.

Harvey White's the team's dedicated set piece taker - although if somebody told me it was because of his passing resemblance to Harry Kane I would believe them...
