    I am not a knob!!......<laugh>

I doubt anyone with fixed ideas about a subject can be shown a different scenario so think what you fecking like. <ok>

On the subject of Swansea, their problems were self made and nothing to do with relegation. They sold Ashley Williams, Sigurdsson and Llorente for big bucks, the new Yanks kept the dosh and failed to replace them with decent players.

That's why they went down and are still stuck with Bony on ther hands shelling out £100K a week to him. - that's their problem.

Stoke recieved well in excess of £120m last season and so far are picking up another £20m in parachute payments.mwe have spent a net £3m and struggling even though big gates and tv every week. This league is peanuts in comparison

Not only should they not have received that £50M, what makes it even worse (for them) is that they've squandered it on obscene wages for mediocre players and managers, and the club, like you say, are going nowhere.

So you using 'Swansea and their £50M' and the fact they're not doing as well as Leeds wasn't the best example to use was it? <whistle>

As for being stuck with Bony, quality PL standard striker, on £100k a week, well he's still theirs to use, and because of these unfair parachute payments, even after paying him his wages for a further 12 months they'd still be left with £45M, so it's hard to have any sympathy with them.

Who said I had any sympathy for them?.....<whistle>

Huw Jenkins and his mate took the Yank's money when it was offered and ran. They made a bomb out of the club and left it with a pair of Yankee money men in charge with no idea about the game.

However, they are where they are and the £50M parachute money they are receiving this first year certainly isn't being used to support the team.

I think you'll find that Stoke will eventually pick up close on £50M this season altogether - that's 55% of the Broadcast receipts for last season.

Agree they are not using it effectively, but then that's their problem not yours. Best of luck to you. <ok>

Sorrry FORZA, but that is exactly what I'm saying - it was a perfect example - read it again pal. <ok>

The fact that' they've got the £50M parachute money seems to be irrelevant.

You are doing far better than them on a fraction of that budget, but then again you have also got a fraction of their ongoing committments as well.

Watched the game on Sunday with raghead commentary, put radio Leeds on and they were a minute in front, but heyo, begger...choosers!!

BPF had a good game, flapped at the cross that lead to there second goal but if we had our normal CH i dont think they would have scored, in fact if we had our first team out we would of blown them away IMO.

Harrison..........total waste of space and i think Bielsa has now seen enough of him to come to that conclusion, show him the door, he wont be missed.

The substitution at half time tells me Halme may start on Friday alongside Jannson, the lad looked composed on the ball and showed us he has a quick brain to knock the equaliser in. The other option i would look at is Ayling along side of Jannson and Shackleton at RB.

Forshaw looked ok, but he would playing along side the U23's, just hope he plays well in front of the back four against Derby, he has to step up and show his authority Friday.

Ayling puts me on my guard!! he was trying to do too much and got caught on a few occasions.

Young Clarke did fade at the back end and that concerns me, 45mins seems to be his best intro atm.

This will be a tough encounter with Derby and 3pts will be very welcome.

On a parting note, where and what is Bamford at in the way of fitness, is he a crock like Bridges became many a season ago?

Yes but that's because they've been shafted by the owners/new owners and have totally wasted any benefit that this £50M would have brought them.

My point is that a well run club, with their players on pro rata PL/Championship contracts, who are relegated from the PL, would find £50M of parachute money wholly advantageous to their efforts of gaining promotion from the Championship, as it wouldn't be needed to supplement PL wages, but instead could be used for transfers. In other words, a reward for failure.

He's been out injured quite a bit, but my point is that if he'd been available to play they'd have him on the books ready for selection and yet his wages are covered by 10% of the parachute money, so again it's rewarding a poorly run club for abject failure both on and off the pitch.

Liam Cooper playing tonight for the U23's with a view to being available against Derby

I'd imagine he won't be played for the full 90, shame Derby is a Friday not Sunday match
