Do you actually pay to go and watch the ****e that we endure? One man up front against the worst team in the league? At home! The worst fans in the world are the ones who don't go to games and spout ****e on here.
We've got a good squad to build from now ! In the past we've had 4 or 5 good Players but had no backbone , so when we got a few injuries we got turned over. We are doing as expected I fail to see why people are complaining. If everyone was like me and knew how **** it was going to be a stopped dreaming they'd have a more consistent, accurate and fair view on all matters.
You've failed to compute my point, but I'm used to thst mate. You all carp on about my negativity but how are all much worse . I'm positive we have an organised hard working side and I'm positive that's all you all asked for a few seasons ago
Obviously you get conflicting opinions on here, but statistics are a good leveller. Rafa Benitez is a great manager who gets the best out of the players at his disposal. Check his stats: He is a top class tactician but sometimes gives up on people too soon. That said, we don't get to work with the players he does. At the top level, it's often the psychological elements that give the edge. With all that in mind, I would still suggest that Rafa moves on for the sake of his own career. With Ashley here, nobody will be successful and that is a fact that everyone needs to grasp.
Rafa is basically ideal for what we set out to achieve. Purgatory. He is Mike Ashley's perfect manager. He has a depth of defensive tactical knowledge that is tailor made for this scenario. Its funny because if we had money and needed to progress, he's probably way down the list who you'd want to entrust with it. I know fans think he'd do a great job with money, I'm not convinced. Spunking what he did on Murphy when you have no money is a massive bollock dropped.
So you'd prefer getting bear more heavily and class that ad being mote entertaining. Everyone should shut the **** up until the end of the season mate it might be goal difference that keeps us up. Terrible fans always have been since Keegan days
Plus the self-proclaimed loyalist fans in the world are showing themselves to be the worst fans in the world once again
No we aren't. Problem is once you have drunk from the well of "Amazing Football", nothing else will suffice! For 3-4 seasons we drank nothing else, it was incredible! We now compare everything we watch now, to that! We are hoping and praying and waiting for another Messiah! I feel he may never come. Meanwhile Ashley is the ****ing Anti-Christ. The End of Days is Nigh.!
Not just that, it’s watching Watford, Brighton and Bournemouth accelerate away with decent football on similar budgets. Loyalty is questionable, though we fans are infinitely more loyal than the players. That said what are we supposed to be loyal to? I’ll never follow a different team - barely watch anyone else. When anyone asks I’ll never say anyone but Newcastle. I’ve been to matches home and away, though only a handful as time doesn’t allow for anything else. Should we be infinitely patient with Joselu in spite of how **** he is, purely because the club of our birthright employs him? Is he beyond criticism, as well as many other awful players? Were bramble, boumsong, xisco, dumas, onyewu, owen, etc beyond reproach from piss poor performances? So why is the manager? Was Pardew excuses for picking up some of the worst records in the clubs history? No? So why is Rafa afforded complete amnesty from criticism when breaking the same records? We are doing reasonable away from home, in terms of snatching points, which isn’t the worst way to be. But why are the home tactics the same when they don’t work? Why do we persevere with Perez, Joselu, Kenedy, Atsu? Mainly out of position. We may be divided on this manager blame, but let’s always remember that we are united in hatred of Ashley and 100% recognise he is to blame. However on top of this Rafa is - IMO - killing the last vestige of hope we have, the 90 minutes on the pitch.
Rafa signings (NOT LOANS) since he took over and not NET spend either - Season on season 2016-2017 Dwight Gayle £11m - hit in the championship. Fit for purpose Matt Ritchie £11m - hit in the championship. OK premiership player. Fit for purpose Matz Sels £6m - Unbelievable flop - WTF RAFA Grant Hanley £6m - Unbelievable flop - WTF RAFA Ciaran Clark £5m - hit in the championship. OK premiership player. Fit for purpose DeAndre Yedlin £5m - hit in the championship. OK premiership player. Fit for purpose Mohamed Diame £5m - hit in the championship. OK premiership player. Fit for purpose Daryl Murphy £3m - hit in the championship. Fit for purpose Isaac Hayden 3m - Total flop Achraf Lazaar 3m - Unbelievable flop - WTF RAFA Jesus Gamez free - Unbelievable flop - WTF RAFA This was a championship season so not to bad in terms of signings in all honesty. Most not good enough to cut it in the premiership. Signings rating 6/10 - £58 million spent, spunked a lot of money and should have WALKED the championship 2017-2018 Jacob Murphy £11m - Unbelievable flop - WTF RAFA Florian Lejune £9m - OK premiership player Christian Atsu £7m - Unbelievable flop - WTF RAFA Joselu £5m - Unbelievable flop - WTF RAFA AND WE HAD MITRO FFS Javier Manquillo £5m - Unbelievable flop - WTF RAFA Our first season in the premiership under Rafa. This transfer window was a disaster. Signings rating 2/10 - £37 million spent - £28 million wasted. 2018-2019 Yoshinori Muto £10m - Currently a flop, Rafa is not playing his so why spend money on him? - WTF RAFA Mikel Merino £7m - And sold on, another one Rafa totally ****ed up on - WTF RAFA Federico Fernandez - £6m - OK premiership player but came from a relegated club Martin Dubravka - £4m - THE ONLY CLASS SIGNING RAFA HAS MADE TO DATE Fabian Shar - £4m - GOOD premiership player Sung-yong KI free - OK premiership player but came from a relegated club Second season where we needed some quality and got 1/2 good players. Signings rating 5/10 - £31 million spent reasonable wisely SUMMARY Note that any good/ok signings are mostly defense minded players. Rafa's spending since he arrived has been mainly on boring, defensive players and I reckon well over 50% of the signings have been a waste of money. You could argue that we where scraping the barrel but overall if I was Ashley I would be looking at this and saying look, I cannot sanction moves for more dross defensive players. P.S This took some doing so please like it! - No go on.... hit that like button!
Are you off your nut? This season Watford spent around £25m in total and brought in deulofeu and massina for £15m. Season before £11m richarlison and £8m Hughes to name just two. Why can’t we just accept Rafas not doing that well?
Can the Rafa fan boys at least stop this lie that he couldn't have got any better because of the fees. Jonjo mentions Ricarlison and Hughes. However there are plenty of other like Pascal Groß, Mooy, Redmond, Bernard, Lookman, Calvert Lewin, Max Meyer, Brooks, Deulofeu, Jota, Choupo-Moting. I mean for the price of Murphy, you could have signed Joe Bryan and Pascal Groß plus 3m change. How much better would our options be? The one thing I'll say in Rafa's defence, we are not that appealing as a club. However it would be a massive stretch to defend his attacking signings on that basis. Afterall he has managed with defenders. Fernandez, Schar, Lejeune for a combined some of 18m is pretty impressive. All the slipping and wriggling in the world cannot get away from Rafa's attacking transfer work being pretty poor. I will say I think Kenedy despite his form currently was a top loan signing. I think we have to be careful on both fronts. Burying your head about his transfer work suggesting things would be better with money is daft. I also think turning on a manager who is probably the best equipped man for our current job is also daft. I don't things can be much better at the moment. We could try to be more attacking in certain situations but switching between the necessary ultra defensive away tactics and suddenly into attack mode is easy to say and less easy to do.
