http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-northern-ireland-14803664 So, a father is suing Facebook over suggestive pictures his daughter uploaded to Facebook. She uploads pictures that sexual predators can see. Whose fault is that? Is it the person who uploads the pictures? Is it the parents' fault for not monitoring their child's Internet use? Nnnnnnnnnnooooooooooooooooo, it's Facebook's fault . The Universe really is churning out bigger and better idiots these days as suggested in the first quote in my signiture.
The child's in care and the father's suing Facebook? Surely he should be looking a wee bit closer to home for someone to blame. The sooner Ireland's united, the better for everyone.
Somehow I think the problems in the world go deeper than that. Plus no thanks to a united Ireland, look at the mess they are in
That is what society is coming to. Nobody takes responsibility for anything anymore. They blame others and sue. Having said that I'd ban Facebook/Twitter/et al. They're a ****ing disease promoting widespread stupidity.
Actually I would blame the countless reality TV shows for that rather that Facebook or Twitter. The X Factor and Big Brother have done more to promote stupidity than Facebook could ever dream of.
I don't use Facebook, never have, never will. But a quick perusal of http://www.lamebook.com shows you that stupid people are educating other stupid people in the art of disclosing their entire lives to yet further stupid people. Social networking is the biggest threat we have faced this century.
He's obviously a sponging ****. The kind of bloke that'd sue McDonald's for making him fat or a TV show for turning his slaggy daughter into a lazy bone idle, teenaged mum smackhead.
I think he should sue, then if the courts/judge had any degree of common sense they would lock the coont up for wasting every ones time
Clearly he is a publicity hungry, money grabbing failure. However, it does bring into focus the role played by so many law firms these days in making these absolutely ludicrous claims. You only have to look at the adverts on day timne TV to see who the ambulance chasing variety of lawyers is aiming at..... If they had any moral scruples about them they'd tell people like this man, fat people who sue Mcdonalds and ******s who sue Councils because they tripped over on a pavement after 26 pints of vodka to go and **** themselves. The thing that really angers me is that, as well as taking up court time, ludicrous actions like this might actually make it harder for people with real and genuine grievances to get a fair settlement.
