Not brilliant, but enough. Everyone happy. Woking will be happy to have not shipped a load, and Watford will be in the hat for the next round.
"Watford were great. Their manager was great and the way their players acted was fantastic, so we're really thankful for that." Woking manager Alan Dowson. Good not to have a manager moaning about something.
He promised Newcastle Brown Ale. Mme was trying to find some to stick in a casserole. Shame that the supermarket that used to have a few cans no longer has it.
I thought he was very good. Good Chalobah keep it simple simple stuff, but showed on several occasions just how quick he can be. Certainly there were not so many misplaced passes from him.
Seems a success in the PR-sense of things. Lots of praise from both sides on how they treated the day. Our club took a lot of effort to spend time with the Woking staff - Javi with their mascots, exchanging the Sangria for the Newcy Brown and generally just giving lots of time! As for the game - 11 changes so was never going to be completely fluid. Nice to get some game time for the likes of Cleverley and Chalobah plus some squad players. Would have liked to have seen Dhalberg in goal over Gomes though He's young but still don't like Success. That dive was just silly and just don't think he offers enough yet so wouldn't mind him going out on loan to a Championship side, maybe! I thought Peneranda did ok for his first start for us - so wouldn't mind seeing him on the bench now and getting minutes. I'd like to see Wilmot get a few more games at CB too. Think it shows we do have some good strength in depth but still maybe a couple of areas where we need to strengthen
hm...we did win didn't we? http://www.thefa.com/news/2019/jan/04/fa-cup-fourth-round-draw-details-040118
