****ing brilliant mate, the drama of the penalty after the equaliser is stuff of dreams. First time they've knocked out a top flight side 1964, safe to say this will be remembered for a long time.
This ^ It’s only the Sky era armchair plastics who don’t value the best domestic Cup competition in the World. Games like that one sums it up, brilliant stuff. Been a great cup weekend, seeing 5,500 Lincoln fans turn up to a full Goodison yesterday and give us a decent game was ace.
It's bad enough that most clubs don't value it but to have supporters who don't is disgraceful really.
One thing with the FA Cup, when the Prem sides have failed to win the league or have failed to win a place in Europe, this is the one trophy that you can still give to your fans with pride. The little club will not win it, but never disrespect it, because it might just save a manager his job come the end of season.
Used to love the FA Cup. Teams disrespecting it by playing second strings as ruined it for me. And it's not just the top sides either, Championship teams even do it!
Cardiff fans must be doubley gutted this weekend getting knocked out by Gillingham and then seeing Newport dumping Leicester out
I don't get why they disrespect it, because you still get a Europa League place as winners. I think the problem is the financial mismatch between Champions League and Europa League. please log in to view this image
I would say I'd fancy a trip there but the allocation will be tiny so the chances of me getting a ticket would be virtually nil. Gotta beat fat Frank's Derby first of course.
I think they should bring in a rule similar to the JPT where you're not allowed to make any more than 5 changes from your previous domestic fixture.
