Well the style might be better but the fans at Everton are quite demanding and not beating us, Newcastle and Leicester at home whilst being hammered by Spurs won't go down well. They also drew with Huddersfield at home and lost to West Ham. Seem to be better away which was the case with us under Silva too .
Given the hype for tonight's match between Citeh and Poo I'm surprised they haven't gone the whole hog and dug up Eddie Waring for a pre-match It's a Knockout!
Having watched the game on Sky the football was almost secondary Had that been Watford v Bournemouth it would have been panned by the pundits as frantic kick and rush, but as it was Liverpool v Man City it was "El Classico" and the Managers are gods
Absorbing match, some comedy gold defending at the Citeh end. Deserved winners by the odd goal. Anthony Taylor had an excellent match, though Kompany was, perhaps, lucky to stay on. With several other Hornets, and one very, 49x very, happy Gooner... lamenting some of the decisions that would've gone against us; some poor finishing that we wouldn't have go our way.... yeah, it's a conspiracy and everyone (else) is in on it!!!
3 good goals and some tough tackling in there - Kompany was fortunate but Lovern put himself about too at times.
Good to see some teams taking the FA cup serioulsy. Bringing on Harry Kane when you're already 4 or 5 nil up is quite s statement - and nice for the home fans to get a chance to see players of that quality. Must have been a bit nerve-wracking for Spurs fans though as they're the kind of situations where sod's law dictates there will be an injury!
Not sure I'd fancy Newport on today's evidence.... a terrific display from them, excellent defending, rode their luck, always had an outlet....
Are you alluding to the mob up the M1 they are still in the hat!! Would welcome a game against them, but worry about the sillyness that may prevail between fans
Be nice to have a derby but fear at their place they would actually give us a very good game so rather they didn't win! Hate to say it Deeney and co would be wound up by their fans and it won't be friendly like today was. Not played Oldham in a while and never seen us play Newport.. Probably be someone boring from the Premier league...Brighton as we play them the week after at the AMEX!
Andrézieux-Bouthéon is a town I had never heard of, and had to look it up. It is to the east of here by some distance, and has a population of under 10,000. They have a football team that plays in the French fourth level league, which is for amateur teams only. L'Envol Stadium is where they play their home games, but it is small, and has a capacity of 5,000. Today in the French Cup they were drawn against Marseille who currently are 6th in the top French league, despite a bad run of results. Goals from Bryan-Clovis Ngwabije and Florian Milla secured victory in a match moved to St-Etienne because Andrezieux's ground was too small. So cup magic is not just a preserve of the UK, but happens here also.
They said on Talksport the French Cup does throw up quite a few shocks - 4 lower league teams have reached the final in recent years.
