Compared to the England set-up, Fat Mike Ashley look like a proper football man. The FA are a bunch of gormless, amateur, buffoons more concerned with protecting their little fiefdoms than running the game properly in this country. I've watched England since 1970, that's over 40 years now, and apart from the 1990 WC and 1996 Euros, we've been consistently ****e. I will always support them in my heart, but right now my head says don't bother getting your hopes up. I'm 50 next year and if I make it to 80 that's only 7 World Cups before I snuff it. Why should I get worked up about them after last year's pathetic effort? At least when Sunderland lose a derby match we get another crack in a few months time...
I am 50 next year and can only agree with you, the only time ever probably, at least we get the chance to beat you again,
Just a bunch of suits Sid, that know nothing about the game and are completely passionless and only in it for the cash.
I think Pearce is ****e. I've never seen England play well under him. The saving grace against the mighty Israel was that Oxlade-Chamberlain completely turned the match. It would be a massive mistake to give Pearce the job. I would rather see Hoddle given it. We played well under him. It was only the fact that he was away with the fairies at the time, what with that voodoo woman etc. He was half-educated in French football and played technically great football himself. I don't give a flying **** what he thinks regards karma, and cripples paying for mistakes/indiscretions in previous lives, it is all horse-**** as there is no such thing as God anyway. Ignore all the tosh and let him coach the team, England might just do something under him.
Good win and really pleased with the win. Good qualification campaign again leaving only a draw needed from two games. Hopefully we can win the next one and blood some younger players in the final one. Hopefully we can get to the latter stages of the tournament and keep progressing. We're still a fair way off being able to compete fully with the likes of Holland, Germany, Spain but it'll take a good decade to catch up with them coaching standards wise. Patience is the key and Capello is doing a fine job.
I did the lap of honour round the garden last night when Scotland scored. I also swore at the radio when we missed the penalty and miniOT told me off.
Good win for your boys Lithuania are becoming quite a good side. Better than Wales for sure. Good for miniOT too. Nice to see she is keeping you under control!
People do not hate England just the people in control. The FA needs to get rid of the deadwood - Cappello, Clemence, Pearce etc. Also get rid of those clowns in control of the youth system. The money of the premier league means clubs buy experienced foreign players for a quick fix (at the moment until boom goes bust) so several England players should be with foreign clubs replacing the players who moved to England ? It does not happen for some reason. Rather than just enjoy the trips abroad the FA need to get off their arses and do something. At NO cost they could pay lower league clubs to train youngsters for a cut of future transfer fees. Under 21 and youth teams need to play more matches so scouts abroad get the chance of signing up players. Club reserves teams could play abroad ? These are just ideas of the top of my head maybe non-starters but they are at least ideas others can add to. The old farts in control are stuck in their comfort zones. They need to retire and let someone with fresh ideas take over.
