I think it’s ever so slightly bigger. Not sure how much they fill it. I haven’t been for years since we have been in different divisions and I don’t live round there now. City ground is shocking. What are you classing as the forth, Meadow Lane? Tbf my favourite place to watch football currently is Bramall Lane. Great traditional stadium, great fans and atmosphere
Yeah it is slightly bigger but that's not what I meant really, I mean with the extra tier and the weird corporate corner just think it's a bit more unique than KP/SMS and carries the noise better too. I've not done City Ground with Saints but went there and saw Gillingham get relegated in 2005 and Forest were already relegated. Good day out @brb Cov the fourth.
Deeney on the bench - Holebas, Doucoure and Capoue not in the squad. Actually quite sensible although does mean the midfield will have to rely heavily on Cleverley if it becomes a dogfight. It's also a very odd game to use to introduce Penaranda to English football! Ah well - only an hour to so to kick off.
If you look to the right and down from the statue you'll see the brick wall bit which surely is from the Baseball Ground? If so it's a nice touch having something like that from the old place there.
Is the statue, Clough and Taylor? I always remember going to Notts County, decent ground btw - across the canal was Forest (nice tiny boozer on the corner), it was just awe inspiring to think of the old history in there.
Forgot about Cov! As everyone does. More West Midlands than east but none of the clubs from either side really care about them!
Yeah I believe so and holding the first division title of course. And yeah when I went to Forest I saw Meadow Lane when on the bridge and looked pretty tidy and heard it's a good day out too. Did you miss my post above btw or are you ignoring it
Went to the City ground when they were in the old Div 1 for Arsenal away. Lovely ground, really noisy fans and they had a really good team back in the late 80's.
I thought that when I went to Milan, hard not to think of all the players to grace that pitch over the years when you're there.
That statue of Clough and Taylor only went up a year or so ago, apparently. Nice they put Taylor in it too imo
That’s what one of the Derby fans told me. I found them a friendly bunch, outside the ground. Bit of a ****ish element within it
Yeah, nearly was us wasn’t it? I remember at the time, being a bit jealous when Sisu took them on. Thank god for Marcus and Nicola
Weren't too bad I didn't think, how come you were at the back anyway mate, thought you preferred being closer? I was scanning the lower tier for about 5 minutes looking for you and you were miles behind me. You had the wrong hat on too
Can i just say, this is not a foul... please log in to view this image It's just our way of embracing the opposition
