I understand what you're saying Ostlan but this wasn't an Accrington Stanley benefit match, the financial benefits of a big Club glamour tie would be welcome for us too.
Sad thing is I'm not surprised, result, performance, any of it. One positive is we're pretty much guaranteed to not lose a third round game next year.
I totally understand what you are saying Fieldmarshall and in no way presumed it was. In light of all the darkness that en-robes our club at the moment I was just trying to cast a little bit of positivity that a small club can at least gain something positive even if we seem unable to do so at this present time. Maybe a bit of wishful thinking I know, but hey, who knows, wishing some other team good fortune may encourage a little bit to come our way.
Kudos to you Ostlan for trying to put a positive spin on things. But if you believe in that Karmic stuff then surely someone must have seriously p|$$€d on our cosmic chips given our present predicament(or maybe we've just got a crap owner!?)
Our owner is a crook, we have a gambling / gaming firm on our shirt and we have a manager who humiliated us whilst taking our rivals onto nearly as much glory as they have ever known. If karma is a thing then we would be finding ourselves well adrift at the bottom of the table, going out of the cup to a side like Accrington Stanley whilst our bitter rivals look like certs for promotion at the other end of the table. Meanwhile, we would be complaining that it’s all down to cash even though two forwards we let go on free transfers are in the top scorers list for our Championship rivals. Oh, wait.
Stop worrying about what " our bitter rivals " are doing, if they get promotion they will deserve it for being a well run, well supported Club but that has no effect on our Club whatsoever, we have a useless owner who has provided just enough funds over many years to end up with a team dominated by sub standard ineffective players at Championship level. As we left the ground yesterday there was a vociferous section of our fans singing Marcus Evans get out of our Club, maybe the fans backlash has begun ?
Me neither, there was a lot of Town fans yesterday who said they refused to wear their Town shirts with MEs name on it.
I was in the Studio Stand along with the rest of the seated Town fans, ive no idea where you were but the players were so close to us as could almost touch them and Keane showed some neat touches and always looked to get forwards at pace, time will tell but I was pleased with him.
Have to say Fieldmarshall, from watching it online ( mind you I was half watching the second half ) thought he looked absolutely invisible - however you went and I will trust your judgement. Time will ultimately tell, hopefully turns out well.
It’s the main stand to the side. My cousin’s wife is from Accrington so we were there with their kids. It’s less than an hour from where I live, don’t envy you the round trip for that. Fair enough, time will tell. I wasn’t crazy about anything I saw from him but am slowly coming round to Lambert. It was good to see a few players given a chance. You can see who wants to be there and roll up their sleeves and who doesn’t.
I watched it on Firstrow. Stream was showing Chelsea/Forest for the first 15 minutes or so but I kept checking it and got an ESPN+ feed.
I'm in Ukraine Spanish, every fa cup game ( not sure why ) was streamable through Bet365. Usually one or two fixtures from each pile is streamable on Bet365 website here - for example - Leeds v Derby + Wigan v Aston Villa I could watch this next weekend.
