Cardiff look like bringing less than 1000 so should be around 7000

Well what a great result and very good performance especially second half. Fully deserved. Could not fault a single player. From Holy making couple of good early saves to O Neill quality crossing up and down the flank. Lacy and Zak brilliant and my MOM Ogalive playing his best game for Gills. Garmston also did well. Byrne working socks off Parker and Rilley both nearly scoring. Eaves should have scored first half but he and List got better and better second half and combined brilliantly for the winning goal.
Well done on to the next round.
Let's hope they can do reproduce some form in the league and move up the table.

Defensively playing the 5 across the back seemed to work well for us, we surrendered ground in their half but with 2 lines of 5 and 4 Cardiff found it hard to get through. When they did get through players where throwing themselves in front of every ball and restricting Cardiff to few clear cut chances (helped a little by poor finishing from "premiership" players) on the break we looked dangerous every time. That kind of performance in the league would see us reach safety by March, maybe we are trying too hard to win and leaving our back door open.

A win away against Tottenham in the next round and we're a step closer to Wembley, Oh! hang on. :emoticon-0136-giggl

it does appear, (( given our limitations )) , that playing with wingbacks is best suited to our resources. We deployed this tactic at Southend -- and really should have scored a couple.
It looks as if Garmston, in front of O'Gilvie, is giving cover for O'Gilvie - who then has more time to 'set' himself defensively - and Gamston is able to give the pace and crosses that we've been missing with his absence through injury.....And it is pleasing to see the play being spread and 'switched' to the right side a bit more often - where O'Neil is more than capable of putting cross................ and if you put in enough crosses - goals will come.

Something along the lines of that you really didn't rate Martin as a LB. He then finished in the League Two team of the year in 2012/13 playing at LB <laugh>

I have always advocated 'old-fashioned' wingers -- did you see the goals Chelsea scored - even Morata couldn't miss* with the quality of crosses he was given !
    * -- apart from the cock up he made - he'll say he knew he was offside.

In the second half at times it looked more like Garmston playing wide left as opposed to a wing back. Very much defended as a 5-3-2 but attacked as a 3-4-1-2 though I would have said.

I think Gillingham are going to be held responsible for knocking out every Welsh club in the football league this year. After Swansee that leaves Newport.

I'm not sure what was worse - the 4th round draw - or watching the crap before it. I was praying that Gills wouldn't get Wolves away -- the last time we were there, the stewards did nothing to stop the home fans from throwing urine down onto the Gills fans in the stand below - and the Gills team got pissed on in the match......
....... very disappointed - the draw wasn't very kind.

You can come to Swansea, have a great weekend (apart from on the pitch) and you won't have any piss thrown on you <ok>
