A very measured and concise summary. Not the end of the World, there are positives from this: including the reduction in Hojbjerg's league games suspension, giving youth players a chance and also highlighting the vulnerabilities that need to be addressed in the transfer window.
Perhaps he is struggling with the pace and physicality of the English game or maybe he has not settled well in this country.
Dear god, Ralph has rotated TWICE in terms of team/formation. Once in the free hit vs City when key players were knackered. Secondly in the FA Cup. Suddenly though he’s the reincarnation of the tinkerman in your eyes. I do love you Ian, and you sometimes raise good points. But by Christ, you don’t half talk some arse on occasion.
It’s strange how we see differently. I was sat with about five Derby fans who had all been complaining about the ref not giving decisions Derby’s way. They all said they were lucky that a penalty wasn’t awarded.
It really has been an impressive turn around from Redmond. He’s consistently been a top performer this season. We rely on him too much as our attacking threat though, we need more options!!
Whenever we are ahead and the opposition bring on a 2nd striker and go 442 we should always go 3 at the back. Many examples of lost leads under the same circumstances
I think we conceded twice because, even st 2-0, we were still trying to press. Iirc, both their goals came from us losing possession in their half. Maybe with a two goal lead we could actually have sat a bit deeper. No complaints about the second goal really, but the first was down to tragic defending.
