Ely True Rubbish Slattery 1st senior game and in the middle - very impressed. Don’t know what you’re talking about
I have used the SD option instead of HD for the last one and a half games and it has run fine. I think it was Chilcosaint who posted about this during the Chelsea match, something that Saintsplayer had told me to do when having problems last year, but I had forgotten about until Chilco’s reminder.
Wouldn't be a very good forum if we all had the same opinion. From where I was sat I wasn't particularly impressed, but granted it was his first senior game
I do like to give players the benefit of the doubt, but today I am sorry but Mo is just not good enough. He looks promising on paper, but he is like Boufal without the attitude or the talent.
Glad it worked! Sadly I didn’t see the game at all, being involved in a lengthy pub lunch with mates who don’t like football! Anyway, good result, albeit the defensive collapse doesn’t sound too good. Will watch the 15 seconds or so they allot us on MOTD with interest.
Elynoussi is Gaston Ramirez without the talent. And Gaston couldn’t cut it in the Prem so not much hope for Ely.
He was by far their best player and apart from Redders, the second best on the pitch. Too good for Derby that’s for sure
Firstly, I was in my car by 16:59 in time for sports report on 5 live, having a parking space 60 yards from the stadium thanks to that Derby fan on here. Left after final whistle, clapped players and hen in car and home by 6pm..... lovely. The game. I thought Targett had a mare The Great Dane seems to lose concentration ( another sliced hoof nearly led to a Goal and their first came from him passing 10 yards to Targett... straight out for a throw). Shane wasn’t great as he didn’t hold it up, didn’t win enough balls in the air, but nobody has mentioned how the referee let Keogh hug him with both arms all game. Surprised Shane didn’t lump him. Cedric backed off for the second, but what a strike. Slattery impressed me for a debut. Comfortable on the ball and read the game well. Sign Holmes! Really, really impressed by him. But the best bit was from the Derby fans behind the goal near us, with an empty end behinds the other goal.... they point at us and sing, “Your support is ****ing ****.” Knobs. Oh and at 2-0 up I told me lad my 2-2 prediction was still on.
Pretty much agree with comments on here but must say that I had the misfortune to be stood next to their fans behind the goal. OMG how foul are they, truely an unpleasant bunch of ass*oles!
It's going to happen isn't it..... ......Yep, we'll get drawn together and then we'll go and lose the replay.
I think that there are several aspects where we have improved. The younger players are getting a look in when they seemed to be frozen out. I like Obafemi and Valery. Some players like PEH, Redmond and Vestergaard have, to varying degrees, improved. We are playing at tempo and I think we pass the ball around better. We score more goals and seem more likely to press teams which was not the case beforehand. In these respects, Ralph is an improvement. I am not convinced by the excessive team rotation. With more experienced players, I think we could have frozen the game out at 2-0. It was disappointing that this did not happen. During Hughes game n charge against Man utd, I felt we played some good football. I just feel that some of the current groundwork was already being out in place by Hughes. I feel Ralph is an improvement but I think there have been a few instances where I think the comparisons with Klopp were generous. The main criticism here has to be down to the quality of playing staff. I totally agree about Mo but the problems cannot all be levelled at the manager. The match today and Man City game seem to me to illustrate that there is not depth in this squad. I think Ralph now needs to concentrate on a pool of players he can rely on and dispense with those on the fringe.
