Last night I found myself sitting in the North Upper G Block with some other disgusting people. Hocking, spitting, shouting racial slurs etc The N bomb was dropped more times then I care to count - was anyone else near? Was very distasteful at times. I love sitting in the north stand and this stuff happens all the time I know, but last night it was right on my neck. Obviously every club has a small proportion of fans who seem to think they are straight out of football factory and spoil it for every one else! P.S Kick it out! Keep racism out of football yo! ..........and refrain from spraying your saliva on the back of my neck.
I am no thug, far from it. However, if someone spat on me they'd be going for a kip... end ofâ¦!! I think spitting at someone is the most disgraceful act. I'd far rather someone tried to chin me...!!
They didnt spit on me, they was spitting where they was sitting/around where we were sitting - and we wonder why TB is making a comeback! But when shouting these slurs they would spray it rather then say it. A quick flick of my hood and I was protected, way ahead of these pre-convicts!
Racism aside I find spitting on the street disgraceful, but in a football ground that's just completely disrespectful!
Spitting should be punished with the sort of fines doled out for dropping a ***-end in the street. People would think twice with an £80 fine burning a hole in their wallets.
I'm assuming the racism was directed towards Morrison or Semedo (our current player of the year) rather than our top goalscorer or our manager. Complete fools. Were they youngsters or adults?
Has anyone been fined for dropping a *** but in the street then..or indeed when their dog craps on the pavement,I thinknot. Agree these idiots are a small minority and infect every club sad but true.
hense why ive stopped going this year to much trouble last year in the upper tier lot of spitting happened last year disgusting and dont forget the coin incident to that lady last year !weve seem to attracted some millwall fans in our stands who come with their mates for a laugh (this is what ive heard)charlton used to be a family club i would like the club to find out whos causing the trouble and ban them as its ruin it for everyone else in that stand who attends regually ,a few older fans i know are not also going due to this behaviour.
Sadly when you have 14k(cough), you will attract idiots. Come to the west stand, worse thing I saw last night was a guy dropping his pie!
Not that bad- it is what you make it. I sit there as I bring the gf, but she will be the first to tell you I am very loose tongued ebb it comes to chanting and screaming.
last time i was in their brought couple over from north upper banging on the back going cafc trying drill up support told shhhhhhhhh never again west stand
Both camps are right, I'm in North West Upper & a couple of lardos shout out C*** every other word. Abusing the players totally irrationally. Yet the stewards do nothing. Must admit, the end of last season it was this that almost stopped me renewing my ticket, rather than the s*** on the pitch. BUT go to the west stand & you think your at the Opera, no sound allowed from the "audience" during the "performance". Football is about passion, but just as the players have to learn to channel that passion, so must the crowd
Love it, CT - spot on. The last time I rather loudly ventured to disagree with the referee, (no naughty words, just plenty of volume) I turned round to sit back down and there were about 300 people doing goldfish impressions, children being shielded from harm and elderly ladies being revived with smelling salts and hot Bovril. And I did try to start a song about three seasons ago - unfortunately it ended up as a solo performance. Can't beat the view though. Now where's my opera glasses..?
You are joking, Mike, surely? The police and council wardens issue more fines nowadays for minor infringements of the law than they do for serious crime. Many wardens are on bonus so they deliberately target smokers and chewing-gummers with fixed penalty notices of eighty quid. As for the West Stand, I always sit in there for the great view. My Covered End days are far behind me now.
thats my point ,it was so quiet a couple oldies knitting for god sake at a footy match i couldnt believe it ,so i said to the three mates of mine right lets start some chanting going off it was at the carlisle game last year we lost!so we all started banging on the back metal sheeting going cafc cafc went on for about 20 -30 minutes still told be quiet its like a bloddy morgue up their no atmosphere ,as soon as they score sit down again i couldnt believe we were told be quiet wouldnt get that upper north or lower north?????someone nearly fell through the metal sheeting for celebrating against palace look on his face was a picture when it gave way!
