Arrived at the Valley nice and early to get the £3 discount and buy Shrewsbury tickets. The nice owner of the kebab shop has just been told by the Old Bill that Sunderland are expecting 5,000 fans with them today - how will they all get in
With everything that's going on about, Maja. I think today may be the day that we don't score a goal.
Cheers, FHB. I have a little pug called Poppy. She most probably snaffled something bad on her walk last night and is now a little loose. I'll keep her on the rice and chicken for a couple of days. Pugs have a habit of foraging for tidbits - or fox droppings when the chance arises.
Always liked your fans for the respect shown after the ‘98 play off final. Took it likel men. Good luck ...after today
Ditto. It was heartbreaking but it was hard to be bitter after a game like that when both teams left it all on the pitch. In hindsight it was the best thing that could have happened to us giving what happened the seasons after.
Whenever he is on Talksport I feel sorry for Micky Gray … it obviously still hurts him a lot ……… but at the time I was absolutely delighted ! The guy didn't deserve missing that pen
Aside from my wedding and the birth of my nippers, the Mendonca play-off final must go down as the greatest day of my life. I get goose pimples just thinking about it. Sorry, Saffy.
He's Sunderland through and through. All that summer he was sat at the cricket just getting pissed. It hit him really hard. Somebody had to miss, though. Fair play to you all on that day, it never once got rubbed in our faces.
Don't be sorry, I tell everybody that it's still to this day one of the best games I've ever attended
It was the greatest game (after 1966 Final) ever seen at Wembley.... why would it be rubbed in any ones faces ?
There’s a definite buzz about the place today. I just walked down Flloyd Road , and it’s packed. Feels a bit like a day in the Championship.
