One thing you can guarantee about Saturday's game- with 3,000 Mackems swelling the attendance, Seriously Deluded will use this as evidence that our attendances are improving Djiksteel needs a rest in my opinion, and it will be interesting to see if the impressive Stevenson and Morgan get another go.
Whichever is the fattest one. My seat will certainly look fuller with my backside parked in it again. Up the Addicks!
When I booked my ticket the NW quadrant looked a bit fuller than normal. There's bound to be some wag in the Upper North starts a good chant.
On a football related note , could this be the final game played under the disastrous Duchatelet regime? I doubt the latest news will cause much of an upswell in tomorrow's gate - long tern Charlton fans are rightly sceptical of false prophets. But it should certainly result in a bigger gate in two weeks time.
Jim White seems very convinced. Personally, I've heard so much rubbish I'll not even bother putting the bubbly on ice (besides, we don't know who on earth is coming in, or with what backing) but I will allow myself to dream a bit bigger. Roland has to sell at some point - he's losing money hand over fist by clinging on and expecting someone to pay his silly price. I can't tell, but I would expect other dreamers(or gullible fools) like me to think about visiting tomorrow.
Jim White has really nailed his colours to the mast this time. “It’s happening now” he said. No coming back from that.
Believe it or not, the change of ownership of an obscure little 3rd tier football Club is not top of Jim's list of all-time Sporting Scoops. Even if he's wrong, none of TalkSport's listeners (except a few hundred Charlton fans) will even notice, let alone remember. He doesn't give any more of a toss about Charlton than Duchatelet does.
