Yeah because the media never misquote anyone. To be honest I don't trust the Israeli government or the Iranian government. There has to be a reason that the largest media organisation in the western world, the BBC is not allowed into the country.
my understanding is a bit of both on the holocaust denial thing his exact words were: People in Palestine are getting killed every day by the new rulers of Palestine. As a consequence of the Holocaust, the Europeans took land from the Palestinians for a Jewish state. I donât care whether the Holocaust took place or not, but it is illogical to give a piece of Palestine for compensation. Some people make an awful fuss about that Holocaust, make a myth of it. (â¦) Countries that themselves have nuclear, chemical and biological weapons should not raise an outcry when Iran wants access to peaceful nuclear technology now i am no fan of ahmedinajad but i have read his letter to angela merkle and subsequent quotes, and my understanding is that he hasnt 'denied' the holocaust. In fact the imams have said it is a fact in history. He questioned certain things surrounding it. One being why its used as a reason for giving the jews israel As for 'wiping away israel' this has to be the most obvious and blatant misinterpretation of a phrase in history. did you know there are jews in the iranian parliament?
The problem is that the BBC is biased, ask and see john pilgers documentary/articles bbc journalists have been 'proven' to take sides and misreport/fail to report. and i am not sure the bbc isnt 'allowed' as such, they seem to get in for all the negatives also dont you see it as weird that, journalistically al jazeera is seen as the best (including by journalists) yet whenever there is trouble its the al jazeera offices in the country that get taken out first?
the exact words in a report by the UN investigation said unnecessary and credible violence, that warranted persecution [sic] for war crimesâ. the 'unbiased' BBC ignored this UN report, none of its news channels bulletins included it.
The real villains are us, for not conquering these countries. If we conquered them, then there wouldn't be a problem, as they would all be offshoots of britain. I say fire up the tanks.
I wouldn't trust a word he says, he's muslim, which means he automatically supports iran over israel. You need someone with no allegiances to give you all the facts, which rules me out, because i'm pro israel.
no worries. of course some will take it all as anti -israel or conspiracy theory etc. TBH i am not really in either category what gets me is that the 'evidence' is there. people refuse to see it.
i hope (and believe) that was said tongue in cheek. however did you know that the iranians are shia muslims? some of their beliefs are actually so anti islamic that the muslim world doesnt accept them as muslims? the shia are more disrespectful of islam than the jews (obviously not all, but generally) the 12 imam system of iran is in fact viewed by some as anti islamic.
but he is presenting facts, its not an opinionated ramble that can be discarded. way to go and destroy any future credibility with your xenophobia
The BBC, as far as the Middle East reporters go, is biased against Israel (as is John Pilger). Just look up Jeremy Bowen, Orla Guerin and Barbara Plett (who cried about Arafat needing medical treatment) As for Iran, its pro-Israel policy under a secular government vs its anti-Israel policy under an Islamic government (as is the case with Turkey) is telling. Of course, Wikileaks has confirmed the idea that Saudi Arabia and neighbouring Gulf states see Iran as a bigger threat than Israel
And Sky aren't? Or ITV? Or CNN? Or Fox? Media bias is all around us both in the UK and other countries.
where to start with this? i suppose thompson is anti israel then according to you? this is like the articles in the jerusalem post, in fact its exactly like it. wikileaks have confirmed a lot of things, more about israel and america. guess why assange is in trouble?
Good question. I know that there were a number of attacks on the Jewish community at the start of the 20th century. More anti-Semitism arose in the Republic around the time of the World War 2, with the country unwilling to take in Jewish refugees, instead opting to take in catholics instead. Another interesting point is in Dublin they have a statue for Sean Russell, a high ranking member of the IRA who died aboard a Nazi U-Boat. It was said that he wanted the Nazis to help them remove the British from Ireland.
Medro why dont you actually respond to the OP instead of spouting bigoted nonsense once more. Its amazing and humourous how you are once more found wanting when it comes to reasoned and informed debate. You really did recieve a poor standard of education. So can you justify Israel in any of the points listed in the OP
Have you been man enough to apologise for your prejudiced, Anglophobic post on the thread about the Welsh fan's murder yet?
It wasnt Anglophobic at all. I had responded to the GC thread about the murder straight after responding to one on the NUFC board and the information I was given at the time on the NUFC thread was that 6 england fans were in custody. Not Aglophobia, just misinformation.
Bigoted nonsense!?! The truth you mean. But please feel free to correct me. But I like how you just throw the word bigot about when you can think of no other response. I'm gonna do the same only you will now be known as The anti-Semite As for the OP, this is basically my thread so I'll talk about whatever I want on it.
