I wonder what Harry thinks when 6 are scored without him. I've OFTEN said that Kane not playing frees up the others and it has again. I repeat, rest him for the FA Cup and play Llorente, that's two hat tricks against minnows, long may he reign.
Yeah great. Let's get sentimental about the hosts fanbase, whilst risking injury or fatigue to our most prized asset.
Anybody can score when a team is 6-0 ahead. Maybe, just maybe Poch didn't want Harry to feel isolated and wanted him to have part of the action to keep his confidence up. I think Harry gets worried when we score freely without him so maybe a good piece of psychology from Poch.
Poor Tranmere. 7 goals in 42 minutes is a bit embarrassing. Credit to Spurs for not easing off when it got to 3-0
Credit to Dele tonight. Wasn't sure where he was playing in the first half, but it's been a really disciplined performance and the ball for Kane's goal was sublime.
I genuinely feel for Fernando Llorente. He's had a great game, bags a hattrick yet still gets subbed in place of the main man and doesn't get to see the game out. He has to feel pretty **** about that. Kane's inclusion was counterproductive and uneccesary. His wry smile at full time says it all really.
There is a logic but there isn't Janssen - unfit, so him not being in the squad makes sense Harrison - currently injured Sterling - missed a few months with injury, so an argument can be made for him not featuring Roles - while he has played centre forward in the EFL Cup this season, it's not his regular position Parrott - an argument can be made for not rushing him into his debut given the hype As I said earlier, Sterling could've been a good shout and could've had some luck with Tranmere's high line (and Roles knows where the goal is, so could've been a decent option on the bench) but we went with the safest option - even though a piece of loose turf could make that choice very dangerous
