When i was a kid i always used to stand in what was then and is still known by older supporters as the Town End, no roof and just a wall to piss up against...as basic as that. If it rained you got soaked simple's as there was no where to go for cover and we didn't wear stoopid plastic coats in them days. It was just simple concrete terracing and no seats. Although i will not deny, with ageing eyes i do enjoy occasionally being centre line, so i can see what's going on
You ever been to Aldershit mate...i have in the days before they had proper bogs Mind you scenic off the park... please log in to view this image
No mate, but that looks like a tidy little ground. I just used to go to Welling Utd on some saturdays when Arsenal were away up north, and I couldn't be arsed to go with my mates to Charlton, West Ham or Millwall. It was an easy bus ride away from me and cheap as chips to get in. Loved non-league football and the fans that came down to watch their teams. Remember seeing Northwich Victoria bringing 4-5 coach loads of fans down from Cheshire all the way to south london for a non league game. Dedicated lads those
Been to Charlton a few times, always get a welcoming party there last time i went, fookers wouldn't let me in the usual boozer i use which was a bonus has it happened, because i bumped into a few old mates i hadn't seen for a few years at the alternative.
We’ve got Lincoln tomorrow, they’re bringing plenty I hear, so should be a good one. Looking forward to it.
Yeah think I read somewhere that they were taking 6k or so, great effort tbf to them. Buzzing for Derby tomorrow, another Midlands ground ticked off n hopefully see a well overdue win.
Woking being featured on Football Focus. I reckon even our NE brothers will find the manager's accent quite strong.
Totally gutted, but don't regret it, been trying to fight it off all week in time for the game, but just had to accept it wasn't going to be. Anyway 4th round draw to look forward to now.
Yeah no point dying for a football game. But great result and a chance at getting one of the big boys in the next round on monday. Big day for the Gills, enjoy mate.
I knew you'd beat them. £20 of my hard earned cash said so Our fixture has been changed because of it.
