£25 m ... but hardly a similar situation .... he'd already scored 20 goals for the Man City first team .... and the buggers even inserted a buyback clause ...

 

Yeah but I'd say "a lot of money for someone relatively unproven" pretty much nails that transfer as well. And he cost more than Solanke. Iheanacho looked good when coming on when City were winning already and the game was stretched/other team knackered. Never really saw the hype in him that others were talking about when he was at City

 

He scored a few tap ins at City and more often than not looked ****e.

 

see above .... he notched one per every 3 games played for Citeh ... and he was a full international when we bought him ... much different to Solanke ...

 

21 in 63 .... not a bad return ... but I'm not a fan ... yet the reports from the club are that he is the most natural finisher we have ...

 

Yes see my post also. He scored goals when City were dominating games. 12 in 46 in the PL is good for mainly sub appearances but when you look a little closer it isn't that great.

Full international is neither here nor there, I can't even think of another Nigerian striker off the top of my head. Oh wait that other guy Leicester bought, Musa. He was great as well.

 

Solanke is a full international.

Admittedly he's not as prolific as Shane Long .... but.£25 million is not a lot of money for us these days ... we spent the same on Adrien Silva and £30m on Slimani ... but overall we do rather well with our transfers ...

If you think Solanke and Iheanacho transfers are in any way similar then fair play to you ...Solanke has 1 goal for Liverpool's first team in 21 appearances (likely the majority as a sub) .. ... frankly I think you are blowing bubbles out your anus

 

Musa was the most exciting transfer of any Prem club in 2016 iirc.

 

... one appearance ... no goals ... at the time we bought Iheanacho he had scored 4 goals in 7 appearances for Nigeria ... he may be a bit ****e ... but I wouldn't be surprised if he hasn't scored more goals against the top 6 in the EPL than Romelu Lukaku has ... waste of money is all relative ...

 

He was a bit of a let down to be quite honest mate ... we were hoping Liverpool might come in for him, what with him notching two against Barca in pre-season .... but unfortunately they have their preferred feeder club ...
