It's all getting a bit silly now (Januhairy).
If some women don't want to shave various parts of their bodies then fine. It's their choice. But turning that into a political statement is going a bit far isn't it?
It strikes me that a much more visible way to feel empowered would be to have a month for not putting on any make-up.

'Slaptember' maybe? I'm sure the cosmetics industry would go wild about that idea.
And the army of young youtube stars and bloggers who do nothing but post videos and selfies showing off how pretty they look could have a few weeks off as well to discover new depths to their lives (or maybe not).

The magic of the FA Cup <magic>
Doncaster are through to the 4th round as well <ok>

Portsmouth and Luton Town are still in the competition too (Luton face a replay on January 15th).
Will FA Cup runs now begin to affect their league form? Only time will tell.

Unfortunately we don't play Portsmouth again until 9th March (3 weeks after the 5th round)
or Luton Town until 13th April (a week after the semi-finals)
Chances are they'll both be out of the Cup by those dates, and firmly focused on the League once more.

Lord Patten calls for second referendum....This sort of statement is exactly why the people who voted for Brexit hate Parliament

Lord Patten, who is fiercely pro-EU, has previously branded referendums as “appalling and a sin against parliamentary democracy”.

So are general elections against parliamentary democracy? I guess Lord Patten wants to go back to the good old days where the elite ran the Country and didn't have to take any notice of the general public.

In 1992 Patten was the much disliked Party Chairman. He ran the GE campaign which saw Major re elected, but neglected his own seat in Bath.

At Central Office on Election night staff gathered round TVs as Patten’s result was declared in Bath - he lost ...causing one wag amongst the team to shout out (to much laughter) ...” Tory Gain” :emoticon-0148-yes:

Patten's father wrote the 1950's hit "She Wears Red Feathers and a Hula-hula skirt".

Not606 is a beacon of how to disagree amicably. I'm not usually one to praise Mrs Thatcher, but she was correct when she refused to allow Provisional IRA spokesmen to speak on telly, insisting that their lines were spoken by actors. The amount of publicity given to the yobs outside Parliament is WRONG, I've just been listening to recordings of them on the 6 o'clock news, and can just imagine them listening in glee, say "That's me, listen, it's me, me". Wearing hi-vis jackets is the giveaway.

The Government has issued new guidance today for football forum users who lack a scintilla of self awareness, or any trace of a sense of humour.

For such unfortunate people, mercifully (for the rest of us) small in number, the Government has advised that you do not need to challenge every single point, no matter how trivial, made in every single post on a forum. Such behaviour is classed as "odd".

Nor does it compensate for your chronic lack of a sense of humour should you clumsily place "LOL" at random points in your posts.

The Government has announced a name for this unique football forum behaviour:

A very solid debut at left back from Ben Purrington yesterday. Nice to see an authentic specialist back in that position - it showed.

Jonny Williams looks a masterstroke based on his first two appearances. He is everything that Reeves and Fosu are not. He has got the tricks that they have, but unlike both of them he can pick & weight a pass and his first thought is always to play a team mate in, in an attacking position. He links the play brilliantly from the back to front.

    Please stay fit JW :emoticon-0148-yes:

Rio Ferdinand really crossed the line & made a tit of himself as a pundit with his angry defence of Mike Ashley yesterday.

The presenter had pointed out that Ashley sells Ferdinand’s clothes range in Sports Direct <laugh>

Never the most coherent bloke at the best of times, it’s worth watching the reply <laugh>
