Yup. Leave us to it with a 4 point lead in the league and 23 points over your sorry lot. Am beside myself
Fabinho provided a good cameo and showed why he should be the number one name in midfield. Goes to show that he’s a DM who is more progressive and attack minded than the rest. Let’s hope this Brexit midfield never starts again.
Not a disaster! Provided the players don't get in a funk and throw January away. We are 1st and ahead of City by 4 points, we would have killed for this position at the begining of the season. The only disaster was Lovren. I can't remember who was saying only last week that Lovren is better than Matip, I'm sorry but if Matip or Gomez plays that game, we draw or win
Ive read back few quite a few pages to get the jist of the general feeling. Just a few points tonight because I can't really be arsed. 1. City played like it was the champions League, world cup and last day of the league, it really really mattered to them, we played like it was just another game. Which to be fair it is. How many times have we won the battle but lost the war. 2. Lovren was ok, city constantly over loaded the right side of our defence, it's klopps job to see this and do something about it. Not just see how they get on. It still took two world class finishes to score, please bear this in mind. 3. I'm bored of saying this midfield 3 doesn't work. None of the players are poor as individuals, but they do not work together. 4. It really was a ****e game if football, if 15th played 16th and they played like that you would turn over.
Agreed, watch what we did to them last season and watch what Lyon did to them in the champions league this season. Attack them and be positive and you will get goals. Thought we set up negatively tonight
Exactly. And we chose a ‘trusted and experienced’ midfield. The same midfield that has a habit of losing big away games.
Same team as the champions league final wasn't it? Give or take We never got a grip of that game, felt the same tonight. Our passing though, fu<k me I felt like watching me
****ing hell the meltdown here seems well over the top, you're still four points clear ffs, unless there's a bit of fear of course I can't wait to see how bad it is when you're third in April and Lovren's still doing the same thing.
