He’s not doing anything Richard Pacquette couldn’t do. He’s still playing as it happens. Never seems to stay anywhere long as he’s had about 25 clubs.
Liverpool just dropped their tempo, faffed about with back passes and then Citeh caught them with a great counter. No one to blame but themselves, Sane's finish was slide-rule...
Fantastic game from start to finish. First half a fascinating tactical battle, then Klopp made his midfield changes and the second half has been brilliant.
How did I know you would say that? It took a goal for it to open up, otherwise we'd still be watching both defences playing sideways and backwards. You might find that fascinating, but most find it dull (and not because they don't understand).
Interesting to see how Liverpool respond to this defeat, City back in the title hunt and they know how to close out a title...
I think it was Klopp's fault for being too negative, giving City too much momentum. They won't play City every week and they're still 4 points clear.
Some of us appreciate (and understand) the tactical side of the game. I can enjoy a 0-0 as much as a 2-2. You're obviously less appreciative of the finer points. Mind you, I'm sure if you'd been out there, you'd have opened the game up much quicker with your outstanding ability. Also, did you not see that fantastic move by Liverpool which led to them hitting the post and nearly scoring?
Liverpool were in the ascendency after they equalised but then seemed to take a breather and Citeh caught them with the winner. They were deserved winners in the end but overall Pep won the tactical battle...
Liverpool looked far better as soon as Klopp made the changes. Having both Henderson and Milner in the centre lacked too much quality. City were and are the best team but I think Liverpool will win it.
Some of us (certainly you, and probably your Son) have inflated ideas of their football knowledge and consequently make pretentious statements about enjoying the 'finer points' of periods of play that most would consider dull. Supercilious, moi?
I think City have much better strength in depth in their squad, it all depends on which side can avoid injuries to key players, if Liverpool lost Van Dijk for key games they may be vulnerable, likewise City with Fernandinho as happened recently. City have a relatively easy Champions League draw compared to Liverpool. Both are capable of long winning runs so I reckon it will go to the wire...
